Avatar weapon boxes and the Valkyrie

The Vanguard Initiative Quartermaster in Highwatch sells Avatar weapon boxes for VP.

I was thinking on getting some for my Valkyrie to save time. If I get the box (es) before the patch actually hits, will it /they be able to generate a Valkyrie Avatar weapon after the patch?

And the more obvious question, is this box going to generate Valkyrie avatar weapons at all? =D

    it has for brawler and ninja (prolly gunner too but idk) upon their releases, so most likely

    nope. it's a smart box, meaning it'll give you the weapon suited for your class

    runeglaives don't exist in our current version of the game either

    @Spacecats can you confirm whether you can get the Avatar Weapon boxes now and that they can still produce a Glaive when opened by a Valkyrie after the patch?

    I got the Avatar smart boxes before Brawler was released, and I was able to use boxes to get Cutting-Edge!

    The boxes can be banked and opened on the Valk.

    @metagame No he asked if he could get the boxes in advance and if they produce a Valkyrie weapon AFTER the patch. :p
