Miscalculation in 3% masterwork?

Y9hRnOM.png
Not a big deal really.... my warrior dreadnaught weapon get +3235 damage instead of +3237. [ 8300 x 3% = 249 + 2988 = 3237 ]. My other classes is fine though. Just wondering if everyone else having this kind of miscalculation. You can also check here - http://tera.netgamers.jp/masterwork

    Well that's weird. The link shows it suppose to be 8294.8~

    https://www.bing.com/search?q=x*.03*12+x*.03=3235&pc=MOZI&form=MOZSBR

    It's seems to be off by 5~ I forget (and don't feel like looking it up), is the warrior base attack stat 5~? Also those base attack stats aren't all whole numbers.

    Although the calculation is speculated to be

    Base + [ Base ( MW% + [ Enchantment # * 0.03 ] ) ]

    which is usually off by ±1 or ±2, the actual value might be different from what we see. You can estimate a good number by using those calculators but you can't really expect an exact outcome unless the creator of the calculator knows exact calculation and how number or values work in the game.

    The calculator I made on EssentialMana uses the formula:

    Bonus = Rounddown( Base * MW% ) + Rounddown( Base * Enchantment # * 0.03 ) + Rounddown( Base * Awakening modifier )

    I tried it with 8300 which ends up with 3237 as well, but when I tried 8299, it gave me 3235. So if the Base was actually greater than 8299.5 ( which rounds up to 8300 ), then the bonus +3235 makes sense.

    BHS likes to play with rounding, so there will be minor error value.
  • ahh... i see... so the Base itself was round up. Now that makes sense. Thanks =)

    Seems like they changed the formula a little since I last checked it. I wonder what else they changed.
