Second you can't deny, when colonizing countries started the discoveries you wouldnt see many indian slaves, nor asiatic slaves, the great majority was indeed black and it was black because they were seen as the lowest of races by the christian majority of the colonizing countries.
You can't say that evil argument is diferent than racism/slavery when most of the thirst for conquest at that time was to "bring the light to the world in name of christ", so imagine what ppl with this mentality would say when they see dark people.

Of course, there are guilds that are great towards girls, but guilds aren't the only place it happens, either.

ut Tera has a lot of strong girls who can handle themselves, so it tends not to be as big a deal, and to them it's not as relevant.
But some girls are more hurt by it than others. To the ones who say that they (the victims) are partly responsible for it, by not acting a certain way, or taking certain measures? SCREW THAT! Unless they're being huge manipulative drama queesn, there's nothing wrong with acting like a "stereotypical girl." I'm sick of all this crap about women having to be more like men, and having to change who you are to fit in. Sure, if you want to, then by all means, nothing wrong with that. But there's also nothing wrong with being a girly girl, or whatever other kind of girl!
And what's wrong with accepting help from guys? It's also in guys' nature to want to be the White Knight. And it's often in a girl's nature to like that in a guy. (I'm only bothered by guys who ONLY help girls and no one else.)
What it really comes down to, is that mistreatment of ANYONE is wrong, but girls have it more difficult here, because guys are the vast majority.
Yes, there are a lot of girl gamers, but this is still mostly a "boy's club" and thus largely male dominated. No matter what anyone tries to say, males make up the majority of the Tera population by an extremely large margin. So it's largely on us to not go scaring them away!!
And perhaps why so many girls here claim to have little to no issues, is because the ones that do have issues have long since been scared away!

The problem is, there is no such line. What you find disrespectful and insulting is not the same as what I find disrespectful and insulting. The other day a friend of mine made a joke that basically came down to "Guys like coming for you". I said "awww, that's so sweet, ty for the compliment" and his response was "you are probably the only girl who'd take that as a compliment". I've also known a girl who got offended and left a guild because the guys were talking about some anime character in guild chat(in a sexual way). The point is, there is a very thick line between, say, girls like me and girls like OP and it's pretty much impossible to draw that line in such a way that'd keep everybody happy. I don't want my male friends to be afraid of making "inappropriate" jokes around me just because Princess.Snowflake might get offended and have them banned.

Being castrated and your tongue cut out was some of the nicest things they did to slaves indeed, at least better than being whipped 100 times per day every day until you die of loss of blood and exaustion, yes because besides the whipping you still had to do the work you were bought for, like building roads, farming from dawn to nightfall, etc.
If you see during colonization the motives were indeed land, but about 500 years ago when this happened church and politics were hand to hand, so they would take advantage and spread the invading country religion on the invaded country along with the expansion of territory. The crusades on the other hand were motivated mostly by religion not by conquest of territory and those happened about 1000+ years ago. There were still conquerors looking for territory among the turmoil of course there's always those guys that take advantage of the situation, but not the crusaders themselves.
It is hard indeed to define a line on subjects such as this because of more open minded persons as you are presenting yourself, (I don't know you except from this topic so I won't put my hands on the fire for you), however we can define a line of what's an insult to the majority of the girls, and probably even to some men if they were told the same, then you can punish ppl who feel ofended after that line was crossed with them but safeguard ppl fooling around before the line, if you are more acceptant than the other then such a line won't even bother you because your personal line lies beyhond that. A similar line has to be drawn in the oposite way, when women adress to men.
Let me try to make an example.

Random girl: You play games you're a geek.
Guy: Yeah, with pleasure. (Go [filtered] yourself by the way).
Punishable
Random girl: If you play games then you live on your parents cave and smell like sh*t.
Guy: Report, followed by sanctioning from EME.
Acceptable by open minded
Random girl: If you play games then you masturbat* to little girls in your parents cave and you're a f*cking [filtered].
Guy: Block, .... whatever that b*tch wanted.
The "acceptable by open minded" is way beyond "punishable" but still the guy didn't want to bother reporting and didn't because he's a bigger person than her however ppl can still fool around to some degree "acceptable by all" and there's a well defined line where one will be sanctioned if it's crossed and the target of the insults understands the person should be punished for it "Punishable". Example may be a bit lacking but it was the best my imagination allowed right now.
You have to report the player for b*llshit behaviour though, something that apparently the opener of this topic didn't bother to do, instead prefered to receive gifts and profit from them, knowing very well this would lead to misinterpretation by the giver and therefore drama.
