Playing as a Mystic: PICK UP THE HEALS
Okay, I am generally not one to complain, but this is just driving me completely insane.
I've played three mystics, all on the same server, all to level 65. I honestly love playing as a healer in TERA, since the healing mechanics are so enjoyable. Though I do absolutely HATE what players do on TERA when I play as a mystic:
(Keep in mind that I'm not targeting every single player, though a lot of the players of DPS classes in general. Especially the newly released Valkyries, because they don't seem to know how to dodge properly, and always end up getting really low HP and/or getting killed. >>)
I wanted to just put it out there that mystics only have a few healing skills. We have one lock-on skill, and two main others. One of the best healing skills that you get is from literal level 1. It's the little right click of a mouse that let's you charge up a little red ball. Yeah, that one. I have some complaints about that.
Every single time I play in a dungeon as a mystic, there is always an idiot that just ignores the [filtered] and complains about me hardly healing them. Like, WHAT?! I tell them casually that they have to pick up the little red [filtered] around them for HP, and blue [filtered] for mana, though I guess that's too hard to comprehend, because they STILL don't pick up my heals!!
I mean sure, I heal them with my lock-on skill, but that doesn't heal as much as the [filtered] do. And the warding totem, as well as everything else. (Keep in mind that one of my latest mystics are level 43, and only have the charging skill and lock-on as a heal.)
I'm just tired of watching people die and raging at me for being bad at playing a healer, when I tell them that they have to just click their default 'f' key to pick up my heals. Is it really that hard, and has anyone else experienced this? I swear, this is the most ANNOYING and aggravating thing about playing as a mystic in my opinion.

I do tell people ahead of time my playstyle and if they accept then they cant complain. maybe the op should start doing that.
Motes are used mostly for self-cleanse, emergency cleanse, DoT or mechs that prevents you from healing/cleansing the party (LKH stun until you finish CR, RMH pushback).
other than that orbs are really just for healing yourself? for that glyphed self heal and if you're low enough you pick up the mote you just dropped. anywho, yeah xandervb already explained it well enough.
not sure why you'd tell OP to play priest though, cause they'd have to manually heal their party all the time! nightmarish i know.
Because OP is lvl 43 and seems to be struggling with keeping a party up with a single direct heal.
i'm confused O.o
No. I reject any reality in which a lvl 65 mystic thinks motes are a valid way to heal a party. Just....no.
