    (It'd be really interesting to investigate exactly when the other character with the duplicate name was created and figure out how the bug may have occurred... though yeah, it doesn't solve it.)

    My current theory is that creating a character checked the reserved names, but doing a server transfer did not.

    Actually, for what it's worth, I suspect that it may not be that because it seems they were completely blocking server transfers until the name reservation event was over if your name was already in use on the destination server. However, that issue seems to have stopped itself as soon as the patch hit. (This issue was described as a sort of bug, but I suspect this was the real reason why given the timing.)

    The other reason I doubt it is because this was a level 60 reaper you said. Given that reapers essentially start at level 58 after the tutorial, there'd be little point or purpose in transferring a reaper at level 60; you could just create a new one and it would cost nothing.

    But anyway, who knows...

  • @Spacecats Is there any way at all to ensure this ticket is seen and resolved before I lose out on being able to get a Valkyrie box? The only reason I haven't gone and made one with a different name is because if I do end up getting to have the name I wanted, I don't want to have to buy a Name Change voucher just to be able to use it.

    Just create your character; I'd do it now so you can at least take advantage of 3x XP bonus this weekend. I think it's basically impossible that EME will say "oh, we've renamed the other character so you can get your name, but we won't give you a name change voucher to rename your character" because that makes no sense -- it's the game's fault in the first place you couldn't get the name you reserved. But in the off-chance that unlikely exact scenario happens, send me a PM. Please don't wait just because you're worried about that.

    I'm probably gonna end up doing just that. Almost been two whole weeks, and I made my ticket before noon on launch day of Valk.

    Though, you have no idea how bad my luck is lately.
  • A happy update today! Support got back to me and was able to get my reserved name to me. I am now able to play my Valkyrie that I had reserved, and have all my goodies.
