The gold you get for vendoring any item in this game other than items made specifically for the purpose of vendoring (gems etc) is not even a fraction of what a normal player would have stashed up anyway, so idk why you're acting like this is a big deal
Huh. I remember hearing something about a baraka priest being really good at... something or other. Now the pieces are starting to fall into place.
Observation: Apparently, I need to clarify something in the opening post, as I have no idea where either of you are getting the idea that this was my main source of income. As I said in the first paragraph, it was something I noticed as I was leveling some new characters: "Hmm... I have all these crystals, maybe I can give them to a merchant for quick gold." As evident by this thread (or... not), such wasn't the case, and thus became another item in a long of things that I feel need tweaking.
If you actually need extra raw gold from selling crystals when starting out in the first 64 levels, chances are you are doing something wrong.
If you are new, you would have thought of selling your old feedstock off to the broker (which is quite a lucarative trade tbh). Also Buddyup pretty much ensures you are almost always having enough gold even if you are levelling all skills up and spamming battle solutions etc provided you aren't a floormat. And if you are experienced enough with a level 65 main you probably would be able to leave 500 gold for your alt to power level unless you don't know what on earth you are doing at all.
Updated leveling quests actually give a quite a bunch of gold after the update iirc. That is doubled if you are elite. Similarly dungeon drops give you similar amounts of gold so you should never be poor.
In the past, level 60 dungeons were actually very abusable for gold. Many of the level 60 equipment sells for 15-16ish gold and the dungeon can be done in 4mins flat. Most of the drops have not lost its value, so it doesn't make sense why players aren't going for it.
Getting the crystals you need and should use is easy now, which was the purpose of the new boxes of crystals. In fact I could argue that you are getting more crystals than you would in the past.
I am quite sure Sabex is deemed bottable in KR for some odd reason (You could solo it in Idoneal, so 5 bots would nuke it).
Irregardless, remember that gold nowadays is really just an arbitary value especially with no real goldsink. I am not sure why people even bother caring about the numbers when you don't have to buy out your weapon. Seriously, when I ask why people need gold, many of them mentioned "because I want to buy out VM gear" despite having no clears in 4* or up content.
cough- 96 Fine Hardy Crux -cough
Duuuuude.
Wrong wrong wrong, wrong.
Dungeons in themselves are not lucrative. They were alright if you were soloing them, but that's not a viable way to level anymore. The level 60 equipment does not sell for 15-16g each. Grats on running dungeons in 4 minutes, when they have 30 minute lockouts. Sabex and a couple other places aren't too bad - granted there's a triple drop event active.
60-65 questline is lucrative, true. This is why some people just level reapers over and over again.
Irregardless is not a word.
People need gold because gold is progress. Gold is gear, gold is enchanting your gear, gold is combat consumables, gold is costumes and other flair like mounts or pets. Almost everything can be obtained with gold.
How can I afford a wyrvern mount? get that OP x2.0 crit power passive. (450-500k on AV)
I'm about to get enough mats to get my imperator weapon+15... thanks to that x3 event drops on dungeon.
Else i'd be sitting with a guile weapon... Which took me a week to get +12.
I mean, it looks easy for some people, but as a completly new player, it looks hard AF to gear up after getting a Guile set (which is handed to you).
Then you do your dailies, run a few dungeons to gear up/farm mats.
aaaaand, here you are
I find a few ways to get extra golds (around 400-600 a day + dailies) but it's not gonna get me food/enchant mats/SPELLBIND (those cost a lot and are low quantity drops).
I don't wanna get 100k a day... but if I could get 10-12k a day, I'd be so happy. I could get my wyrvern in a month or so.
Solution? Making mutiple chars.
Nope, I hate making mutilple chars. I prefer to focus on one and that's all.
sad thing is, if you don't want to make any alts, then the only way you will get that much money anytime soon is to swipe that +15 credit card.
some will say play the broker, but you need money to make money, and then you need to know what to buy and sell. you can always make reapers and run it to level 65, delete, rinse and repeat. other than that, I don't know of any other way for you to make 200k anytime soon with 1 toon.
If you have 4 Character (Ninja, Brawler, Valk, any [filtered] do damage) = 4 goddess tear in like one hour 1/2 (all with [filtered] slaughter +10) = 4K gold in one hour.
Yes, make gold in tera is not about Doing dungeons or selling [filtered], Making gold in tera is about having multiple chars, is been that way since Ever.
2012~2013? Daily quest (green) limited amount dailyes per char, Running dungeons? limited entries per char (and resets scroll costed quite much) Nexus? Only one char.
Now, if wanna make tons of gold playing with a single character, i think you should play another game.
Don't wanna do Bams? Good, we have ARENA, 40 tokens one run that took 4 minutes! Not enough? Nice ace dungeons, Aranea (or whatever that is called)
Being difficult to get gear? PLS don't make me laugh, game give to you more than enough to get Slaughter +12 without spend a single gold, not even to enchant! Don't believe?
At level 65, you got quests = Aranea -> Kel Challenge -> CW -> DFnm = you should already have all slaughter set or at least 4 pieces since no one roll gear in DFNM anymore (got 7 boots on 3X drop because no one get them)
Keep doing Challenge, CW, DFNM, you will get gear, use them to enchant your gear until +9 (no need feed/alk WoooooooooW) got all gear +9?
IOD quest, will give to you ALL accessories (low tier) and like 700+ feedstock tier 9 and like 200 of personal adn expensive alka, thos 400 alk is more than enough to put all your gear from +9 to +12.
You know what is the funy part, all this take less than 4 hours to do, all lvl 65 quest that give to you your +12 gear is easy and need no money.
Now you have a 414 ilvl character, you can start "making" money in your IOD, arena, Ace dungeons, all you want, want more gold? Make another character.
Or 6 caprin horns worth the same - potentially more if you craft handles (because crits)
