Trade broker negotiations in BGs!
May we please for the love of Kaia have negotiations work in battlegrounds? It's such an inconvenience for both parties!

isnt like Trade_in_BG = false and you can change to true
> Besides the technical reason, I'm not sure it really makes sense to allow this in competitive team content. It may be inconvenient for the buyer and seller, but you're inconveniencing your whole team while you go AFK to deal with broker stuff. People could also use it from the outside to mess with people in battlegrounds -- which, again, are ostensibly supposed to be competitive.
Yeah, the thought of people messing with others in BG through negotiations did come to mind. While the though of going AFK to complete a negotiation, one can auto-run while completing the transaction.
Also, there are times when mass people go AFK in a losing BG, so it helps to win some gold on broker after losing the BG.
The technical issue makes sense, but is BG server that much entirely different than IMS dungeon queue? I'm not too familiar with the semantics of how these things function.
Put it into retrospect with other games with PvP features.
Assuming they have a voice call function, players from outside will not be able to contact any player in game through voice chat. In league of legends, PMs go through in ranked but it isn't something very intrusive in the gameplay (having a ping tone or being super flashy) as such to allow the player to concentrate fully in the game.
This is the same for Tera PvP. In PvP, no one waits for you. Once the battle starts, you should be focused on the objective regardless of what map it is, or whether you are steamrolling the match or being steamrolled. In this case, a broker request would be considered a distraction because you will open into another menu, and take up precious seconds to accept the trade whatsoever. May not be huge but there is always that off chance where you lose because you accepted a broker trade in the middle of the match.
In dungeons, it is slightly different. You aren't facing against other players, and chances are you have breathing room before and after the bosses to accept the trade (if you politely tell your party members). You don't lose precious seconds of clear time whatsoever. In the same time, you don't have the pressure of an enemy that would strike you at anytime should you go afk for a trade when there isn't a boss encounter.
Easy way to fix this is auto accept all 100% negotiations and have it be an option. Then there is no requirement for either party to be inconvenienced. IMO theres no reason to even have taxes, just a way for BHS to stick it to the man (non-elites
Taxes exist in MMOs to remove gold from the system, not to "stick it to the man." Goldsinks are a good thing.
On topic, I think it would be a better idea to just not show the player as available for negotiations while in an instance.
Though, an auto trade broker option to complete a transaction would be great!
My view on the topic goes as follows:
1: You're already bombarded with the negotiations inside the BG, cause yes. In case it's a super expensive item you want to sell and get a 100% offer it makes sense to even drop the BG and accept (specially super trap runs), so there's kind of a reason for it, but then:
2: You can decline the negotiation, but not complete. Partially working is kind of weird frankly, could work as a "bug off!" for people who wanna bother you inside the BG but weird. Makes sense only for lowballers but not any other offer that would be a valid one.
3: Inside Dungeons that sometimes are even more intense than BGs, you can negotiate. I can agree that the party may be backing you up and all, but it's still kind of the same thing, but two different end results.
4: Auto-accept 100% offers inside BGs would be great, but not when outside a dungeon or BG. I don't think it's fair to make the auto-accept for anywhere when a player is logged, as a "broker bot" would be the 1st thing to happen. Heck I would even make one and I hate this kind of exploits.
5: The whole deal about being distracted in PVP is kind of player dependent in my opinion. Like said, many players just do stuff like chat in auto-run. I do every single raid chat when in auto-run (and then some tard goes to bother me with "you talk too much you're not helping" yeah bud... you don't even know auto-run...), in fact when these offers pop up with a 100% offer I wait till I'm free (like right after respawn) to send a whisper to the buyer "Inside BG now, sorry! I'll be out in about X minutes". There you have already a communications leak to the outside world, so I don't see the point of leaking info as relevant.
PVP also has those few seconds where a few clicks/words typed won't set the match. FWC has a lot of mount running when you respawn, Kumas has all the auto running, CS.... All of them have breathing periods that can be used, dungeons as well, even during boss fights a few seconds are only fatal for a tank (or some HM dungeon).
When someone negos you you don't HAVE to deal with it immediately. If you don't have the time you can just ignore it or /w them "in bg sry".
BGs other than 3s aren't THAT action packed. It's very easy to find 5s and a safe place to nego something. Again, if you can't, you can just ignore it and /w them back later (which is exactly what you have to do now, because you literally can't nego them back).
It can't be abused (in any way moreso than the current system). If you just don't respond to the nego they can't keep pinging you.
In fact, Whispers can be abused WAY MORE. You could go up to the point of having your guild spam whispers to their enemy mama (in Kumas) or raid leader/ladder guards (in CS), and it pops... ON YOUR FACE.
You can just disable that option.
Exactly THIS!
Like I said, I agree for this to happen inside BGs and dungeons, or when the player is active.
But if you allow it always, like just AFKing and it auto-completes then it opens way to broker AFK bots. We certainly don't need more players sitting on map making us lag if they ain't even playing right?
Completely agreed in case the player is active tho.
Last I check this is still a competitive game. Unless you don't consider the Trade Broker as a competition as well? Because I do, I compete with sellers all day long. Why the hell would I allow the other person to have an edge over me if I am literally waiting for people to negotiate me in Highwatch vs a guy doing BG all day and he gets all the profit?
You were in BG while I tried to buy your stuff? Tough luck, I'll buy it from this other guy who isn't in BG.
