But what about the lag?

Does EME actually plan on addressing the lag in any other way besides "hey give us your logs?"

Yes, every game has its lag spikes.

No, it is not possible to have perfect servers.

Is it possible to improve to more stable servers? Yes. Get better machines to host the servers with improved hardware.

Have we seen EME do anything about this issue? No. We've even seen employees quit because this company can not do anything about it whether they do not know how or just don't care.

The triple drop weekend we had was a disaster. It was nearly impossible for people to clear RM because of the lag that was experienced. Events should not be experienced in this manner. This problem can't be avoided the whole time so I'm pretty sure the whole community would enjoy an official statement on what kind of efforts are being put into this situation. You don't have to fix your servers if you ban everyone complaining about the servers, right?

  • The lag people experiencing doesn't have anything to do with the proxy. Lag is on EME side, while the proxy helps with casting skills because skills like [Rapid Fire] used by a player with 10 ms versus a player with 30 ms is like day and night, mind you that 30 ms is one hella good ping already. Good intention but things went bad from there.

Besides the skill prediction master, all the other mods are extra and crossing the line. Triple vow, auto hurricane, broker negotiate, these are unfair advantages, exploiting the flaws in skill prediction and hopping over gates, that is game breaking. Should people be punished? Yes. But is permabanning people the right way to do it? No.

You can't blame people for trying to fix things that you can't fix. Exploiting bugs is bad but if the game was more playable, the proxy wouldn't even exist in the first place.

Also, "third party program" is a very vague term. For sure the proxy and dps meter, but how about razer synapse? It gives me advantage of using the num pad keys without having to reach for my num pad. How about people who edited their ini files for better frames? How about FoV? How about just cosmetic mods? If you have to ban all of this, how dead would this game be (as if it wasn't already)?

I am on my main account.

Which is exactly why it would be nice to hear from EME about their plans instead of a permaban issue. I fully support the use of all these mods for the players to get a better experience since EME can't do anything about it.

Thank god someone address this. Just think about it, why other regions such as KTera, TeraRU, EUTera didn't create something as the proxy? KTera shouldn't be in list since they usually have low ping but if NATera ping is unstable even for NA players, man you are doing something wrong. I do not support third party programs to cheat, but you also have to realize some exist thanks to our servers "being better than ever"
  • Maybe Tera staff can give us the names of third party programs accepted by them. I mean banned for a DPS meter pffft. Speaking of nonsense.
And what mods also can be made.

None, all third party programs are not allowed, period.

But that is not interfering with the game directly. I think DPS meters at least.

That's not allowed at all- it goes against the EULA/TOS and what not
Plus their new policy on meters is that it is not allowed as well, so that's a banhammer on that o/
  • @Dhrizzit ... How dare you to give a solution for the EME problems? You're going to regret it! XD

im fine again about the lag, i fixed it changin the tracert.. just do the same i did and done...

    i already explained

there is two sayo spots i detected with problem, if you change the tracert, you use another spots and done, not more lag spikes, at last im playing well these two last days

What are you even on about this time? You can't change a tracert since tracert is just a program for showing your route to a destination. Why do you continue to provide nothing but constantly spew misinformation on these forums.

It doesn't matter if it interferes at all, all third party programs are against ToS

Not that I agree with it, it is a good piece of information, you need this to become better. Some people uses it to make fun of newer players that doesn't know how to play the class or the game itself so that's that.

I have an idea for an entry but won't have time to do it myself...so if someone else could make this happen, I wish to see it:

A Valkyrie posing with one of those giant, 5-feet long ink brushes used for largescale calligraphy, instead of her usual glaive. And freshly painted on the ground says: FIX THE LAG
