Just my 2 cents on the 3rd party program issue.
I was going to post this in a ticket for hope of getting a reply but I want to see the community's stance on what I think as well.
So as most of you already know there have been a lot of bans over 3rd party programs being used and game file modding, seeing as modding and the 3rd party program in question have been around for a while and only recently Eme have started banning people for it, this just shows that recently a few people have been using it with malicious intentions (I.E. Using TERA Proxy to bug emporium, limitless RM runs etc...) so in a way those people shot all of us that use 3rd party programs and mod the game files in the foot.
But I think Eme is over reacting a bit, yes all of this is against the ToS but most people use it to improve their gameplay, whether it be chaging ini files to have a more stable fps, dps meter for self improvement or TERA Proxy to have a simulated low ping, this has turned into a case of guilty by association the few people that exploited it have made all of us that use the same programs/mods guilty.
I really wish Eme would have taken the route that a bank here in the UK did a few years ago, (Story time) so a young guy hacked into a banks main server and left a trail back to him just to prove a point that no security system is full proof, the bank how ever didn't go on a witch hunt and have the guy arrested for what he did but instead they now employ him as one of the heads of online security. Now let's reference this back to TERA, the guy that made TERA Proxy probably had good intentions in mind to help the players in need and help improve their life in game.
So my question to Eme is why not talk to the people that make the mods and 3rd party programs that are used to improve the game and see if there is a way they could be integrated into the game.
If you want to make it fair for all players then why not instead of going on a witch hunt to ban those working to improve the game by any means possible, have them work along with you guys to improve the game for everyone?

Hmm... Also, character limit.
Not following rules just because it doesn't benefit people is anarchy.
You call it forgery, but what you show here is literally what I posted and even in the same context. Join EME -> Burn down.
You realise that's the problem, right? That EME bent the rules before in letting people use those third party programs, so more and more people started using them because, hey, others were doing it, and now it's grown into too much of a mess thanks to people abusing them.
I agree with you we did all agree to the ToS when we made our accounts but lets be brutally honest the game as it is with no modifications what so ever is not optimized (My pc will run any game you want thats out now at highest settings on 1440p at 60+ fps constant, yet with TERA it sometimes struggles to pull a stable 30), all a lot of these mods were doing is improving the game, but like i said theirs a select few that abused a good thing and shot all of us in the foot.
But what if the rules harm the people? (at least some like modifying FoV or adding injectors for better game experience)
Kicking you out of my house for not having manners is just right.
Rules that you agreed to follow... Does anyone think with their brain anymore?
There could be other ways to do things but EME chose this path so now is up to them and the users who agre to this, lessen the damage.
Sadly the forum users have been in the longest flame war between them because many end-game players that are afected refuse to resign to the tools that they use to have better runs.
At this point EME has the right to ban anyone who they suspects (as it is writtwn in their terms and conditions of using the game) but working with the community to solve this might be better.
I think that they should have let know the player council and throught them contact several devs to compromise things to make them understand the actions that are going to be made.
I am up to the banning of cheaters and ppl who abuse holes in the system but you should try to lessen the damage trying to win over ppl that move the masses.
I now that sounds like political bull shyt but that works most of the times.
If EME and BHS are enforcing bans for the use harmless 3rd party progams I hope they have a project already for the users to have a better gameplay experience (such as the tweaks to improve your game performance or UI mods to make your game run smootly). Games like LoL has been baning users for the use of 3rd party software as jungle counters even before Riot implemented in-game. So I hope BHS give a thought about harmless software without backoff the hunt for exploiters and cheaters.
I wish the comunity understand that this is a no way of return choice of EME. They already make the desicion and showing signs of weakness would hurt even more that the actual thing they have done.
@Acendia
so you're saying, we can't joke about this problem? then we should be serious right? where is EME staff to discuss this matter?
By your logic ANY rule can be disregarded if it doesn't benefit people. This whole fiasco happened because people did not follow the rules since it doesn't benefit them...
I bet you're fun at parties.
they did nothing more than say "hackers will get banned, follow ToS", and banned the handful of hackers that should have been banned to begin with, the only thing they failed at is being silent and closing threads instead of replying properly.
The entire dealing with hacks and such is nothing that they shouldn't be doing since day 1.
The whole talk about VPN players being banned is forum shill.
