You'll get banned. End of discussion. Especially if I told you no, or do you it your own risk. So don't go crying if you lose your account because you thought using DPS Meter was SOOOOOO helpful! You thought using a hacking program that inject/hook itself into Tera was okay. You thought for some reason, it should be allowed even though the staff has already told you no.

News flash, you won't die if you use DPS meter.

But the real reason half of the elitist here are crying, isn't because of DPS Meter. They're crying because they can't use their "3rd party program," to get advantages over player in terms of faster animation, cool down, and attack speed. That's why they're crying, because now they're on equal grounds again and can't just instantly delete you in battleground anymore. They can't mass farm their PvP anymore and do their high tier dungeon to get their gear for free. All of them should be banned.

The real problem for those who opose to follow the rules are:

    1) They are making real money selling those tools.
    2) They created a mafia inside game to convince others to buy those tools.
    3) They are gaining favor from the end-game users as they are making profits from those tools.

I agree with you, I already would ban all those who are using those cheats and disolved their guilds.

There is nothing to lose but a tiny fraction of the comunity that has been hurting more the game that bringing real benefits.

So why don't I get banned playing FF14 when I use a DPS meter that reads from the plaintext combat log while streaming the game on Twitch.

    LOL.

Let me tell you the difference between two games that have two different staffs running it. Let me also tell you about how two separate programs have separate coding. Lets talk about how a DPS Meter that only reads plaintext combat log is different from a DPS Meter that hooks unto Tera socket and packet sniff for the numbers through client and server.

Did you know the MAC and Microsoft are two computers, but yet they operate differently in terms of OS? Whew.
  • its very clear you dont know what you're talking about so please stop

LOL. Yea? Want to break down what you do know? Let me see the coding of DPS Meter for Tera, oh wait... it's on Github. LMAO.

Yeah I know what you mean the injector mafia came up to me with a bunch of castanics and elin wearing suits and syringes on their back in highwatch. They came after me and pinned me up against the wall and refused to let me play Tera until I purchased their third party tools. This is exactly how things are going.

to really believe a majority or at least a significant percentage of the player base is affected negatively by not being allowed something they were never allowed, like the injectors and DPS meters, is at least delusional. It's completely delusional to think that a considerable part of the player base is using 3rd party tools like injectors and DPS meters, really.

If you are against DPS meter, chances are you suck horribly at the game. Someone alrready brought up a perfect analogy which is school tests. So yeah, please tell us more how much you suck at this game.

Most players aren't using injectors/meters for sure. But I'm pretty confident that most of the endgame players that run Harrowhold/RMHM at least have run a meter once. Banning your high-end playerbase can't be a good thing even to casuals, who now can't swipe or get enough runs for things that endgame players provide, like Superior Etching Boxes (MT's prices for these are 8k when everyone is constantly running HH to FF which is double that when very few can clear P4) or even cheap Lachelith Boxes for Hankies/Crystals.
  • DPS meter was mainly used to check whos bad and who isn't. I've seen it happen on MT a lot. If you were playing X class and you thought you knew what you were doing but had low dps, why should you stay with x party? You'd have to use what people are telling you to basically gitgud. IMO meter is used to help players even though the ones that use it eventually become elitist.

The thing is that koreans make the meta anyway, so the dps meter is only a tool to brag about e-pen.

Are you stupid or what ? The dps can range from 200k to 4M within the same class. What does meta has anything to do with this? You think playing a new class automatically makes your dps better than someone playing old classes?

If you're getting instantly deleted in battlegrounds the fault lies entirely on yourself and not third party programs.

You know there's a source code on github that anyone can just go google search and see that it isn't "pingless." It's literally modifications on rapidfire, so please, stay stupid if you want.
