ilvl 417 won't do the Island of Down top Vanguard quests :(

Hello, I am disappointed since I login and my gear level 417 is not triggering the Island of Down quests but is dropped down to the previous level quests. WHY?
and I have noticed that there is new Tier level 12.
WHAT IS THE gear level for quests had 417 trigger level now?
oh, and after almost a year without success on Masterwork try today worked, but it is useless since this gear seems useless now

    You said it yourself - you've been gone for almost a year.
    Go queue some dungeons to get your guile set and new accessories. If you only care about IoD quests, get the weapon and +12 it, that should be enough.

    Are you playing in EU Tera, by any chance? Because I'm pretty sure that here (NA Tera) we don't have tier 12 yet.

    Ah yeah I ve been gone for a year too.

    Anyways, the IoD higher quests are for ilvl 418. So I would suggest that you enchant your weapon to +12 or get better rings or earings and once you get 418 you will be able to do it.

    this is apparently enough for top tier IoD bams.

    Why would you do Giants, Hydras and Nagas in Slaughter? Well, of course it's everyone's own decision on the farming speed, but investing a little time to get Guile is far easier to do the IoD Vanguards. Regardless of itemlevel.

    Why is that though? Guile is such a small bump from Slaughter. Is it that much better? I dont really understand the higher level tiers. Seems like a lot of work to get a slightly higher item level. Should I go for Guile now, or wait for next tier to come out.

    guile is noticeably better than slaughter in just about every way

    as for if you should get it or not, that depends on you, as the next gear patch should be hitting our version within a week or two tops

    Valkyries in slaughter can 1 hit top tier bams with shinning crescent.

    Because that is my set up on my mystic and I get somebody to do my mystic IoD for me, and of course I hop on a dps and do their healer IoD too.
