There is so many names taken on inactive characters, we need another name wipe please!

    I think first the decision needs to be made about whether TERA Console will be on the same servers or different servers. If it's the same servers, then I think a name wipe will be needed. If it will end up being different servers, then perhaps a server merge will eventually be needed, and it would make sense to do a name wipe before that. But for now, it probably makes more sense to wait for the decisions about consoles.

    The last one was about 2 years ago and as much as I want a name wipe, I would say it is still too early for one.

    even if the console version is not on same servers, the console release will indeed bring massive interest into the game during that period accross all platforms of tera

    so..a name wipe would be beneficial for everyone that is currently and actively playing.

    Lots of old ancient players kept the unused names in hopes of reselling them (back when the forums didnt actively stop them from selling. but now it is prohibited from selling names on forumns). those players dont even play anymore. and holding their names no longer means anything.
    So a name wipe is a very good idea!

    if people haven't been active for at least a year, then I say do a name wipe( if they haven't logged into their account , not counting servers). but the whole logging in within the past 3 months or they do a name wipe, im not cool with.

    because unlike many, some people have a life outside of tera and others games. the only reason so many of you people want a name wipe so bad is so you can have a chance at getting the name you really want so bad. if eme does do a name wipe, I feel like they should hold a raffle for the inactive names and those that want to enter has to buy a ticket per entry per name. then that way they can make extra money and everyone has a fair chance at getting their favorite anime name.

    You are right.

    In many discord channels ppl are selling names to other players even in real trade money.

    A name wipe will be welcome to make things fair.

    No, please....
    Lots of my dearest friends were forced to quit the game due to real life issues, one of them even died due to a terminal illness....I don't want someone else to hold their names.
    I understand the issue created by the lack of names but what we need is a different naming system, maybe one such as FF XIV name and surname....or one that allows you to pick the name you want and assigns you a "friend code" so that your friends can just find you like that.
    I do not want another names wipe.
