Guild Charter

Since Abusement Park’s founding in 2004, we have striven to be the best we can be while maintaining lives outside of games.  Over the years, we have had numbers greater than five hundred players participating in a single game together, to as few as twenty.  Our focus is not on numbers, but on the players themselves.  We look for people who can compliment our play style and integrate easily into our ranks.  As with any successful guild, member participation is key.

 
Mission Statement

Abusement Park is a virtual online gaming community.  We do not exist for any one specific game.  We are a community of adult gamers looking to progress and have a great time.  We seek to make the Abusement Park community the strongest and most successful it can be.  We are dedicated to a friendly, team focused, fun gaming environment where every member is important and not just a number on a roster.  We seek to foster long term friendships among members and enhance the online gaming experience by virtue of those friendships.

 
Standards of Conduct

Core Rules

1. Abusement Park only accepts members into its ranks that are of similar personalities, goals and values to its own.  All of our members support and follow our core guild rules and anyone who cannot, is removed.  Our core rules and values have served us well since 2004 and continue to be the guiding principles behind moving the guild forward.  Our core rules include, but are not limited to:
2. Guild First: We expect all members to ensure that all actions they take are done in the mindset of “guild first”.  Anything a member does reflects on the overall guild image and on all fellow members.  We expect members to only take actions that reflect positively on the guild’s image.
3. We recruit the PERSON not the TOON.  We look for good PEOPLE, not only a character that meets a specific set of requirements.
4. Participate in Guild Events.  You are expected to take place in as many of them as possible.  We understand people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is ok.  But if you are online, and we are having a guild event of some sort, you need to be out there and participating in it.  Actively working against the guild on any mission will result in immediate and permanent removal.
5. Leadership roles in Abusement Park are decided based on demonstrated ability as well as the need for a leader in a particular spot.  In order to ensure our Officers are performing up to standards, a general election will be held for all officers under the rank of Executive Officer.  This ensures an officer is doing his/her job from the eyes of the guild as a whole.  General elections will be held quarterly unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
6. Members may not use cheats or exploits.
7. Personal attacks on other members is not permitted.  Handle issues with another player one on one, in a mature, professional way.  Seek an officers help if needed.
8. Backstabbing, looting, stealing from, scamming or otherwise harming other members is not permitted.

Acceptable Use

1. Joking on other members and teasing without intent to cause harm is acceptable.
2. Foul language is acceptable.
3. The posting of nudity within the NSFW forum is acceptable.
4. Political incorrectness is acceptable.
5. Killing your enemy is acceptable.
6. Killing your enemy repeatedly is acceptable.

 
Forbidden Activities

1. Any talk of religion in guild chat, voice chat or on the forums is prohibited.
2. Any talk of politics in guild chat, voice chat or on the forums is prohibited.
3. Creeper and stalker activity is prohibited.
4. Teasing with the intent to harm is prohibited.

Who Should Not Join

1. Those who cannot take a joke at their, or others expense.
2. The politically correct.
3. Social justice warriors.
4. Black Lives Matter.
5. Those who are easily offended.
6. Loners.
7. The self absorbed.
