Emergency maintenance broke my client (update)
Ok so, I've found some kind of discovery. Since i deleted/re-downloaded/re-installed, It's possible i may have found a problem. There are several things or a combination of things that may be wrong here.
First of all, I've used the mod that removes party buffs because I always took a huge, HUGE fps hit from the garbage coding involved. Replacing this was the very first thing I did, and it broke the game AGAIN with the same error. (with party buffs, i play in dungeons with 10 or below fps...simply removing party buffs gives me +10-15fps, which is very playable and also very semi pretty) I tried replacing the originals, fail. I used repair function, fail. I deleted the entire folder containing the files then repaired again, failed. So here is the thing:
1: EME made it so any modification what so ever breaks the game, period.
2: EME severely needs to update their repair tool.
3: It's some kind of unique problem in which i can run the game once but it gets broken when I exit and relaunch.
4: Any combination of the above, or maybe just that specific modification. (still needs an update to repair utility)
I will update once again in the morning after I re-download for what I swear is the last time I ever will after more trouble shooting
NOTE that I logged in once after the fresh install with no problem, then exited game and client, and the party buff was the only thing I changed afterwards before I attempted to relog and it completely broke again.

This also happens if you've deleted/renamed the in-game vids (most commonly the 2 opening ones) to stop them from playing. If you've done that, change the names back. Some patches work just fine with them renamed apparently, while others don't. It doesn't always make sense. If you've modded/changed anything at all, undo all of your mods/changes and see if that fixes it. If not.. I don't know.
The only changes I've made are those that are the fps fixes/boosts to the .ini, and they have been working for me for quite a long while now. Pretty sure I haven't done anything else to the client ever, (already tried to swap the originals back in, no dice) Thank you for your input though.
o
ok then
Then you also edited ini file. So that pretty hard to say.
I mean... you did some change on client your own... you cant really blame EME.
Tips: back up once awhile for whole game folder.

This is your EN localization file. If you delete EN.version in your root TERA folder, it will automatically redownload it and re-patch when you restart the launcher. Other than that, today's patch didn't modify any other files... so I'm not sure why it would have crashed anything. The only time I've seen that error out of turn was when an anti-virus program was blocking TERA.
It always works, always
Also, that way you don't replace the main files for the modded files
