Level Restriction and EXp gain

Theres is something very wonky in the pace somsone gets experience compared to the level cap of the dungeons.

This is the first game i have to try the hardest to NOT level and dont do quest for the sake of being able to instant match queues.

Its stupid beyond belief and it should be solved because is no fun to be outside a dungeon teleportal for hours waiting for a kind soul to carry my in the dungeon because im level restricted to go with a proper group.

Who was the masstermind behind this decition? it wasnt like this a couple years ago.

Alternatively, instead of waiting for hours, you could also just continue with your leveling and then solo the quest yourself at a later time.

Who was the mastermind? Learn Korean and talk to BHS. En Masse has no control over this.
  • Instance Matching has been like this for a long while, anyway. The difference, I think, is basically that they made instance matching more visible since it's right on the Vanguard screen. The other difference is that leveling is faster now so it's more likely to happen.

This being said, if you've already outleveled a dungeon, you can just do the next one. There's no real "story-gating" in this game.

what an idiotic suggestion.... a massive multiplayer that needs to be played solo?

So you're flaming others because you're OCD and feel it necessary for the game to adapt to meet your specific "requirements?"

    No.

Don't like it? Hit the road and go back to your troll friends in WoW.

the dude above me was the one who started being a msartass, gets ur fact straight.

My suggestion seems pretty logical and the game SHOULD try to make life easier for new users like me instead of going solo and EVADING quests to not level.

Its not about liking it or not. Its plain wrong. MY specific requirement? you know how many people i have found outside dungeons stuck because they cant find party?- dont be sucha troll.

and i never have played wow fyi

So you're complaining that you can't do all the story quests and dungeons while they're level appropriate, ye?

In that case, I doubt you'd find many that share your point of view - spending weeks leveling would suck for a number of reasons like having to clear all the dungeons and do all the quests over and over again when leveling alts, or having to spend unnecessarily amounts of leveling because you didn't really enjoy how a class played at max level.

So suck it up and experience the story after leveling (or after reaching points where the dungeons become soloable) if it matters that much to *you*.

Leveling has been made easier so players like you can reach endgame sooner, but worry not! Bosses in dungeons have been buffed so you can enjoy leveling with the other players that are also stuck... All you have to do is just invite them!

Honestly, I can say this game wasn't really designed with this approach in mind anymore. I think it may still be possible if you are not Elite, but you'd have to do only the red story quests and nothing else (no battlegrounds, avoid too many vanguards, etc.).

There are some MMOs that are story-centric, but honestly TERA really isn't one of them.
  • Only do story quests (orange ones), and the leveling speed ratio to dungeon quests line up nicely.

So my sweet sunshine, why don't you make a Post and ask to someone to carry you?

If you play on CH tell me your nick, add me, anytime i'm on and if want to a carry in those dungeons just /w me.

U dont necessarily have to wait near the dungeon teleporter to find group.
U can use LFG (press button Y). Or u can speak in Area chat channel (recommended) to find players within the same area as u. Its far more effective than using Global chat, tbh. People similar to ur level most likely to be in same area as u, and most new players usually have the the Say chat and Area chat turned on (Global chat can only be used when player reach level 20, I think).

Instead of calling people names, you could read the second part of my statement. EME has no control over this.

Also, with your attitude you're going to have a fun time in Tera. You should probably get used to soloing.

New games can be frustrating when you're still finding the right paths to take. Try not to get discouraged. In my experiences of leveling new characters in TERA, I found the game tries to push you forward to max level as fast as possible. I believe the reason for this is because the player pool expands massively at max level (65) and the game takes on an entirely different feel as you start to meet new players to conquer endgame content with.

Edit: Forgot to say don't be afraid of moving past a certain point. The gear which drops in the dungeons throughout the leveling process is all obtainable from the tokens with Roman numeral names which you receive from Vanguard Quests menu (H).
