Potential future problem for Battlegrounds

Just recently I got back to Tera maybe 2-3 weeks ago heading into my 4th week. Last week I created 2 extra characters to level 65 to play BG exclusively. I'm tired of running dungeons, it's boring, feels unrewarding.

With the new changes to battlegrounds, you can run the same character 24/7. With the 5-man stack change to battleground, I see a potential abuse in future battlegrounds. Players can just stack their favorite abusive characters (Reapers, Valkyries, Lancers) into BG, and run it 24/7. Usually, the stack happens regardless, but it doesn't last because after 200k/200k credits, those players usually change character or stop playing BG at this point. This makes it somewhat bearable because you know there's a limit or time before those stacked players will call it quits. But since you can continuously play BG on the same character on this new patch, there will be players who will stack all the OP Characters in BG, and it'll just be a Lancer/Valkyrie/Reaper fest continuously.

My suggestion is to limit BG again back to 2-man or solo only.

  • Limiting how many can queue in a party isn't going to stop certain teams from having a stacked comp. The last time they tried this all it did was get a lot if negative feedback

    A meta comp and class gap will always exist regardless of how badly they butcher the queue system

    I'm not sure why you think people will bother stacking for BG when the rewards are so bad....
  • With 5 man quing returning for battlegrounds, I will agree that BGs are going to be a lot more cancerous. If you have a skilled and coordinated 5 man party, they can pretty much solo a CS or set up an easy pick off point in FWC or Grid giving the team they're on a pretty hefty advantage. However, if you've ever been part of a pvp guild, that's kind of the whole point of them: you do duels and deathmatches, GvGs, CU and run BGs together. You probably wouldn't talk bad about pve guilds running dungeons or raids together for pve content because that's what they're designed to do.BG's are just the "dungeons" of pvp - with everyone's favorite: INSTANCE MATCHING. It would be sort of nice if TERA removed sync'd ques from popping though. Nothing like going against a raid of Manifest with a bunch of TR and CH randoms because you que'd solo. Maybe add a filter that somehow limits the amount of premade pt's from the same server being on the same team or something. Idk, just spitting ideas.

    Now quick and final gripe about the old system now that it's finally leaving.

    The way they had battlegrounds set up was [filtered]. This was a major reason why battlegrounds died out in TERA imo.
    1. Weekly caps were too low: 200k/200k was achievable in a single day and yet, you had to wait a week for it to reset. Nobody would run anything outside of power hour because you were probably at your max credits the first day.
    2. Credit system cost was too high: Why run battlegrounds to get 160k credits for that single VM peice when you could run a dungeon and get 1-2 (or on 2-3x drop: 2-6) in an hour at most? And like I said, its a weekly cap, not a daily cap on limits so gg pvp, better do some pve or snipe some bams in CU.
