Velik's Hold: First Boss BS

Nothing to do with his mechanics/etc...and everything to do with that after a prolonged fight (due to a lot of people at-level for the place), we had gotten him down to 30%, I know it was over 10 minutes because my brawler passive had come off cooldown twice (I was finally getting the hang of dodgeing his stuns/etc...still new to this), and he did one of his forward spin rolls, I frame out of the way, and he blitzes against the wall and through the jail bars wall on a passage, stops moving, despawns, encounter resets. We just started losing people at that point. It was downright enraging, especially given the time it took before >_<

    Yep, gotta keep it facing away from the entrance. I think the same problem existed in SS as well, and then Daku would put up the cage mech outside of the arena...

    After it happened, our tank and his guildie were whining about how everyone else sucked and then quit, but we managed to recruit a much better replacement, so it turn out to be a net positive.

    This has been plaguing tera since the release. Nothing will be done about it.
    Whenever this long-ignored-more-important-than-op-female-locked-classes thing happens, i just /quit and fi.
  • Maybe in the future they can make it so the bosses don't venture outside a set area anymore. But then that would make intentionally resetting bosses difficult.

    Is it normal mode or hard mode you're talking about?
    If it's normal mode, don't ever iframe out of the forward spins when tanking.
    If it's the hard mode triple forward spin that cannot be blocked or iframed, then tough luck. Many other people experience this and just have to deal with it lol.

    I ran into that situation again, in fact, this is also a bug happens a lot in kd's 2nd boss.
    But good thing we kill that spin to win [filtered] in less than 5 min including the time before reset

    Like in Ruinous Manor (First and Second boss)
    Like in The Abscess (First Boss)
    The list goes on...


    This issue isn't new, and it's probably never going to be fixed because BHS doesn't know what the word "priority" means.
    Honestly I don't even understand the issue. The last boss in Channelworks doesn't go through the gate, yet it seems that every other dungeon has this problem.
