There's a lot going on at EnMass this month.
In addition to the fifth anniversary of Tera, they will also start the Kritika Beta.

So it's understandable that the servers are down.
After all, organizing so much at the same time is not so practical.

Whatever the reason may be, they could give some announcement on the forums since we are all waiting for I don't know how long already and we still have no info about whats going on or when the servers will be back up again *takes a deep breath*
  • Yeah, it's a bit frustrating that it's been close to 3 hours and there isn't even a notice on the forums saying something like "we're working on it." >.>
  • Pretty sure the people who could post that haven't even started working yet as it's like 6:13AM PDT right now. Who wants to start work at that time anyways? Patience and they'll solve it just play another game and have a auto refresh going on in the background and check every once in a while to see the ETA on the fix.
  • did tera's unpaid high school interns crash the server ?
  • If you manage an MMO it stands to reason you would have others monitoring the server status at alternate times...that's just smart business ethics >.>
  • WOW TERA STILL DOWN!!! F

They certainly do not know what is happening.
But let's imagine the following situations:
They know what is happening - They are spending time solving the problem, not smoothing the users!
They know where the problem is - The problem is so great that it is better to pretend that nothing is happening!
They do not know where the problem is - In that case they pretend it's not happening, because they dont have a positive excuse to express the [filtered] that happens at that moment.
And they have no idea when the servers will come back.

Enmasse servers clearly can't handle a whole new patch + Anniversary event together, should be better if they did these events before or after the patch, and besides the downtime fest 2 things going at same time makes me kinda lost too,lol idk if i do farm event tokens and ignore new gear or get it and ignore event :(
  • I'm pretty sure the most reasonable explanation at the moment is that they're currently unaware :pleased:

    This.
  • We just have to be patient... I feel as if this is a nudge at me to do my work. :p
  • Servers are down, EME is going to say sorry and throw us a strongbox event that isn't in any way usefull due to Alkahest price's already so low from their last "we're sorry events", They do this so much its like reading a book

So, I will always remember Tera's Fifth Anniversary with lots of lag and crashed server.
    Oh sweet memory.

You do realise that the team working on the servers is not the one talking to us, right? That Spacecats has nothing to do with fixing equipment and that talking to us is his job?

And if they don't know and are still trying to fix it, an announcement usually does the trick. No need to reply to everyone, and that prevents people from being overly negative because then we know they're doing something.

Also, soothing the users, not smoothing.
