It's been official since 2016. Tera is going down.
  • Honestly they should just have Spacecats say something along the lines of "we're looking into it" doesn't even have to be an ETA, I don't know how long servers have been down but I hear its around 8 hours, that's 8 hours of no communication from EME what so ever on the problem. During the whole "ban everyone" time they said they didn't communicate right. Obv havn't learned anything sense

Yeah, it's a bit frustrating that it's been close to 3 hours and there isn't even a notice on the forums saying something like "we're working on it." >.>

They certainly do not know what is happening.
But let's imagine the following situations:
They know what is happening - They are spending time solving the problem, not smoothing the users!.
They know where the problem is - The problem is so great that it is better to pretend that nothing is happening!
They do not know where the problem is - In that case they pretend it's not happening, because they dont have a positive excuse to express the [filtered] that happens at that moment.

You do realise that the team working on the servers is not the one talking to us, right? That Spacecats has nothing to do with fixing equipment and that talking to us is his job?

And if they don't know and are still trying to fix it, an announcement usually does the trick. No need to reply to everyone, and that prevents people from being overly negative because then we know they're doing something.

Also, soothing the users, not smoothing.

I'm assuming you mean unofficial, since official would require a direct statement from the staff :)

And the problem is our route, they said...

Stop complaining, it's obvious that is our fault that servers are down right now. They couldn't handle such bad conections coming from everywhere in the world.

It's less about 'where' the connections are coming from and more to do with server strain.

I think it's been noticeable since VM2 or 3 to be honest :X
  • I'm sure it'll be fixed :) we just need to wait until they notice.
  • This is why I install multiple games. Time to go play something else while we wait for them to feed the server hamsters, although they're probably dead at this point lol.
  • Good idea, think I'll have a look at what other games I can play for times such as this :)

No, in that case smooth is correct.

But when trying to calm down people, soothe is used. Or smoothe if talking about the situation in general.

My question, though, is this seems to have transpired for hours. Do they not have atleast one server manager on night shift?

They used to. I guess they fired him or he left.

thats why i started downloading batman arkhan city about a month ago but i never finished downloading it because a was to busy playing tera :)
  • Gotta feel bad for the first EME employee that comes in to work today xD
walks in to see the entire world burning to the ground
trys not to ignore it but wants to walk back out for some breakfast
