If the cash shop was down, it would be fixed in seconds. Servers... meh. Gotta love Free to Play games!

But you should always have a server manager or two on night shift who watch the server status. They used to. I guess they don't anymore. So we are reliant on the CMs knowing so they can wake up and inform the daytime server manager(s).

I mean, this is honestly the first time I've seen a game without a night shift server manager in a very long time (the last incident I saw was from Mabinogi many years ago). It's honestly concerning.
  • This game isn't really worth playing anymore :-1:

TERA 5 year anniversary Event Patch Notes
-Increase lag rates and duration with a higher percentage to occur during i-frame only boss attacks
-Lower the up time servers and communication of the server issues
-Build suspense on what we are doing so that more people will want to be active in the forums
  • They shoud have got some one to work the night shift
  • No GM is willing to talk about it! They're all busy celebrating the frustrating 5th anniversary of TERA LAG SERVERS OFFLINE.
  • Players dont sleep, so why should the staff.
    Just kidding.

I don't think you understand how proper game management works lol

Yeah, it's a bit frustrating that it's been close to 3 hours and there isn't even a notice on the forums saying something like "we're working on it." >.>

They certainly do not know what is happening.
But let's imagine the following situations:
They know what is happening - They are spending time solving the problem, not smoothing the users!.
They know where the problem is - The problem is so great that it is better to pretend that nothing is happening!
They do not know where the problem is - In that case they pretend it's not happening, because they dont have a positive excuse to express the [filtered] that happens at that moment.

You do realise that the team working on the servers is not the one talking to us, right? That Spacecats has nothing to do with fixing equipment and that talking to us is his job?

And if they don't know and are still trying to fix it, an announcement usually does the trick. No need to reply to everyone, and that prevents people from being overly negative because then we know they're doing something.

Also, soothing the users, not smoothing.

    You've been hit by...
    you've been struck by...
    a soothed
    criminal

No, in that case smooth is correct.

But when trying to calm down people, soothe is used. Or smoothe if talking about the situation in general.

Hi friend I was making a joke :3

That's why you have different teams. There should be at least someone to watch over stuff during the night.

Even small private server got someone 24/7 monitoring their server but here in NA, with over 4k active account with overall almost 2k player 24/7 and have no night shift server manager...
