If the NA tokens gave out those sorts of prizes at those sorts of rates, I'm sure they wouldn't care so much about doing a blue box event, even if people exploit it as they do (although people here would find those prizes not to be as worth it given difference in markets). But with the sorts of prizes they have now, I can't imagine they would do it (and neither would EU, FWIW -- any time they give away cash shop prizes, it's locked under many tiers of RNG).
I agree the current event should be improved, but the difference in the prize pool is the reason why the earning methods are so widely different. If people are saying they'd be okay with a different prize pool like that just to get the blue box event, it's a different story.

It would be nice if EME could have this kind of information gathered in one spot...too frikin hard to find status information buried in the forums...
- EU TERA was giving a single pair of the mystel wings, and you had to pay for it. EME is giving 5 pairs of those, for free. Cant beat that really.
- Anniversary Token shop barely made its debut couple of days ago, so i understand why some players would feel discouraged at the contents of the shop, cause really, nothing there is worth the effort of gathering the tokens, with the exception of maybe the Conjurer costume.
- We still have yet to see more to this event. EME mentioned there would be in game events that would reward Anniversary Tokens. However, we still have yet to see one. Hopefully when it happens, the amount of tokens will be more than worth doing the in game event. ( at least gotta make it somewhere in between 10-20 tokens that we can get, say for example, if you guys do a BAM spawn event.)
- The Anniversary Shop, like i said above, was recently just released, and will change its contents with every week. Hopefully in the coming weeks, we see something actually worth gathering the tokens for. By player feedback and from what i have seen so far, a lot of people are interested in the Race Car we got from the calendar, but a permanent version of it. Please leave out of the shop any type of consumables or progression materials. We do not want to see that.
- This is on a personal level, but i would really love to see the new Japanese Lantern fireworks in our version, hopefully for a very cheap price in the Anniversary shop (say, 30 per 5 tokens, im good with that)
So, as of right now, the EU event seems a lot better yes, but that's because EU went full fledge on their events, while EME is holding back on the updates on the Anniversary shop and the in game events. I would like to point out too, that gathering tokens through dungeons is not the best method really, or at least not to many players. Doing mindless grind of dungeons that can take hours, just for 2 to 4 tokens, is not really convincing any players to farm the tokens, as many of the stuff in the shop is worth hundreds of tokens, which would need TONS of time to gather through dungeons, even more now that the tokens wont be bankable, so we can only progress on a single character.
Of course, this will change dramatically if the in game events we still have yet to see, can reward a much more generous amount of tokens (at least enough to buy the most expensive thing in the shop, which is 450 tokens) and can happen not just 1 time a week, but several times a week so players can make the best use of the shop.

This is true. However, the complaining would be a lot less if the players feel like EME has reached to them and read feedback, which apparently didnt happen this time around. It is unfortunate, but the Anniversary Gifting Center is overshadowing the in game events and making players feel like this Anniversary, all that EME is doing is another cash grab event.
Had EME showcasted first the in game stuff rather than the gifting center, it would probably had a lesser negative impact. Why lesser? because players would still look at the smallest thing to nit pick about.
All we can do right now, is hope that EME will put actuall worth farming for items the coming week on the Anniversary shop, and the in game events that really need to reward copious amounts of tokens to even be able to buy something from the token shop.
