So when are we getting Feedstock fixes?????

We got promised at the start of the patch that we would get a feedstock fix? Since then we have heard jack all. There are so many ways u guys can fix this. 1st put a T8 and T9 feedstock loot box in the vanguard shop. This idea comes from the MWA fix. which btw worked really well. The other main way is to increase drop rate of feed. Cause ATM there is jack [filtered] dropping, So plz for the love of the Great Sky Whale, answer our prayers and grant us some holy Feedstock.

I think doubling the amount of feedstock from vanguards (which Treeshark has already done) is fine. There is no feedstock shortage per say but rather everyone is gearing their own stuff instead of selling (which results in the higher than expected prices on the broker). It's only the 2nd week of the new patch and I'm sure if you've been diligently playing most of the days so far you'll probably be in at least one, if not more, pieces of slaughter +12 by now from simply running dailies.
  • Tell that to the thread a few down -_- it takes a [filtered] ton to +12. therfore we need more feed to fund it....
  • DanbeasDanbeas ✭✭
Geared up my Ninja, Archer, Mystic and Brawler in Slaughter +12 so far. You just gotta do a lot of farming for it, but it's not too bad. It could be worse.

Are you a new player Danbeas? No ill intention, i'd just like to know.
  • DanbeasDanbeas ✭✭
Nope, been here since the beginning. So 4 years now.

Those characters we're geared ONLY using the gold and materials that I've gained since the ninja patch.

see the main problem is everyone wants to get their stuff quickly without working for it. Like Danbeas said, he was able to gear up ONLY using the gold and materials this patch. Did he accomplish a lot? Sure, but I'm also sure he worked hard for it and was properly rewarded. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of players complaining about this so called "feedstock shortage" are players that are looking to buy feedstock to skip working for it themselves (or they only run like 2 dailies a day and expect to full gear off that in a week). The main reason feedstock is so expensive is because everyone is gearing their own characters. There are many MANY people that made a new character (ninja), many that also came back to the game after quitting in previous patches, and many that are looking to upgrade from schisma or lucid to slaughter (because they skipped dreadnaught/vm6 last patch). ALL of these players need t9 feedstock. To buy feedstock from another player means that that player will forsake their own gear progression for you in return for your gold. As you can easily see, it's going to take a lot of gold to persuade those 3 groups of players to give up their own progression for your sake.

Just run your dailies as much as you can each day and you'll see that you can easily enchant your own set. Or just wait a few months until everyone else is done gearing and they sell their feedstock. The choice is yours, but don't complain because enough feedstock is there if you're actually willing to work for it.

Thank you for the answer, i think i'll just keep hoarding till a pricecut in trade broker prices :chuffed:
  • OR a strongbox event with feedstock drop for now and some other things.

No. Sorry, but don't just whip together vague statements of fake encouragement to get people to believe that a seriously problem doesn't actually exist, especially when it's a problem EME themselves have already acknowledged. One player's anecdote about how they farmed enough feedstock to gear 4 characters in Slaughter in a week is meaningless. Just because one person can farm feedstock for 10 hours a day and enchant 4 characters worth of gear doesn't mean anything to someone who can't.

Similarly, you can't say something like "If you keep working at it, you'll get there eventually." That isn't the point. Of course I'll get there eventually. That's not a demonstration of the system, that's just how time and accumulated values works. If I threw a dollar into a bucket every day for a year, I'll end up with 365 dollars eventually, but if my goal is to acquire something worth 365 dollars today, that doesn't matter. It especially doesn't matter when that goal is only worth anything if it's achieved within the first 1-2 months.

There is a shortage of feedstock. This is a fact. It is demonstrated by the influx of feedstock prices and the difficulty of enchanting gear today vs two weeks ago. No, this is not the result of a new class. This is not the first time we've had a new class. The game has simply removed previous methods of attaining feedstock which were very efficient.

Also, as a feedstock seller, I'm not "forsaking my gear" to get gold, I'm getting gold as an alternate path to my gear. All I'm really forsaking is RNG.

Well... I do think you are partly right... but I think that isn't exactly all that's going on either. There's a lot of people in the game with too much gold right now, so feedstock is going for way beyond the normal "going rates". The Gold : EMP ratio is quite exaggerated. The price is that high not only because of supply, but because there are people willing to pay those prices to get ahead more quickly. It does mean that people without a "nest egg" are at a disadvantage. However, with the double vanguard going on right now, the rate of gold increase in the market is still accelerating. Plus, just today, market forces started speculating that the lower-cost awakening event would cause desire for feedstock to push even higher, rather than causing demand to decrease.

Eventually the (inflation-adjusted) price will cap and start dropping because supply of feedstock will only keep going up in time. The issue is how soon, and how much pressure EME needs to place to hasten it.

I havent gotten this much feedstock from dailies since i was farming TAR, which everyone and their mom agrees gave too much. There is no feedstock shortage, just lazy players

The problem they acknowledge was when the vanguards originally gave half as many as when previous patch's tiered up so yeah that was definitely a problem and they already addressed this by providing the permanent (I'm assuming it's permanent) 2x. One person's anecdote is meaningless? Sure I see all these people complaining on the forums but do you know what I DON'T SEE? The people that aren't complaining! For a supposed "huge problem" there seem to be way less topics/complainers than stuff that's happened in the past like not being able to queue as 5 in corsairs, [filtered] elin dresses being bugged, hello kitty outfits not being release on time, ect. Just because 20 people are too lazy or too poor to get feedstock doesn't mean others that play normally feel that way too.

Yes, it is the point because since when were you intended (for the average player) to get a full set of gear (even a tier 2 set like slaughter) in less than 2 weeks after its introduction??? This is effectively the only gear that's required for pve this patch (unless you really need the vm6/vm7 pve gear carry) and you're saying people should have this 2 weeks into the patch?? Then tell me what people do for the next 6 months before the next patch?

I agree there is a shortage of feedstock... ONLY FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING TO BUY THEM THOUGH! Yes, I agree it's not the result of only a new class. I too did not expect the prices to go up this high but after thinking it over I realized that the combination of the 3 points I made before can definitely explain this "shortage of feedstock" on the BROKER. Tell me, when was the last time there was a new class, new gear set, AND an explosion of returning players/need to regear because you've been using gear from 2 patches ago (ie lucid/schisma). This is unprecedented in terms of demand which is why there are barely any people willing to sell their feedstock because most are using it for themselves. Trust me, once the majority of players are done gearing their ninjas/slaughter/getting back into the game you''ll see feedstock drop like a rock because nobody will need it anymore. Once this happens it'll be blatantly obvious there is no "feedstock shortage" on the micro level but only on a macro level for people that are looking to buy it.
