Holy crap, the honorable mention loading screens are insanely good!!! Like, how did they not win??
Especially this one:

    Turn a light on silly!! So the light from the screen doesn't seem as blinding as it does in the dark.......xD

    I actually think I like more of the honorable mentions than the ones listed as contest winners D: no offense to those who won, their art is still amazing, just personal preference where art is concerned. I'm just glad they put the honorable mentions in as well because art is pretty subjective. Other than judging on technique, what one person likes could be vastly different from the what the next person likes.

    I 150% agree. The Honorable Mentions are astonishing, I've only seen one "Contest Winner" that I felt the same about - the one with the grey/white eyes. Don't get me wrong, they all did great, but I'm just wondering how some of these Honorable Mentions weren't winners....they're so amazing! :O

    Like someone mentioned, art is subjective. If they only picked the best looking art as the winners, it would discourage people whose drawing skills that aren't up to that caliber not to bother entering the contest, which will then make who wins way too predictable.

    They upped brightness/saturation on all of them for reasons I don't know.

    Not to self-promote but, my original submission (with a few adjustments to faces/lightbeams I made a few days after submitting): OVuPZHH.jpg

    I don't know if it's compression or they have to convert to a specific color profile, but I think it's a big change.
