How to figure out what I'm doing wrong on Ninja?
I'm trying to follow http://www.essentialmana.com/ninja-pve-guide-yurai/ but I don't quite have all the rare glyphs to fully follow it, and I really don't feel I'm pulling my weight, especially in the new stuff in my poor, half-properly-enchanted Guile ;-;.

You can get uncommon glyphs by spamming Sabex Armory and Macellarius Catacombs, they're a must, while rare ones are important, but less important than gear.
About the learning part, take your time, getting used to tera's combat is pretty hard at first, you have to get used to bosses, learn to time your iframes, get comfortable with your rotation, ... . Even if ninja is one of the easiest classe, it still takes a lot of time to master.
Have fun fam!
PS: if you play on MT and need some help I'll be happy to!
I agree with what was said above - with vanguard requests it's quite easy to stack up money and use that to enchant your gear with stuff bought from the broker and merchant. But remember to take advantage of your iframe skills!
As of now if ninjas need a whole lot of healing, they are also dealing at least 10% less damage. Zerkers are supposed to be the ones that need most healing lmao.
In the past, most people recommend rushing midtier and not maxrolling your lowtier, and it is true. You don't need lowtier to progress back then.
There is a huge difference now though, with bosses being way more tanky than before, there is a need for players to actually have proper rolls on at least their weapon and gloves even in low tier, or else their dps will be barely there and bosses will take forever to kill.
The biggest asset to a new/newish player of this patch is this:
+12 full guile set.
3 Crit 2 Power jewelry (-borne) OR if you need to stack crit/power 3+2 of different sets respectively.
Full set of niveots/vyrsks.
Complete Crystalbind
Bravery Potion (Yes, you want to use this for shorter runs).
As long as you are critting much enough and can consistently deal dps reliably, you can put 3* dungeons on farm. You want to put them on farm asap due to Fascinations still being a valuable item. Also you will get more access to tokens that can be traded for glyph boxes, and you will take a while to get all your glyphs.
