Enchanting isn't as bad as people make it out to be, you just can't get the best gear within a day or two of getting 65.
But council shouldn't have power to edit other player's post. This might cause more problems than good if they start abusing it. Don't want a grammar nazi council going around editing everything... Or some overly-sensitive EDIT who thinks the word "a$$" is too offensive and might go around editing/removing everything that seems "offensive" to them.
Guess it will depend on which players get picked as player council. I hope eme picks the right people..
The Player Council will have a private subforum to raise and discuss issues/solutions, plus link to specific posts made by other players throughout the forum. They'll also be able to see which posts have been reported for moderation, so problematic posts can be reported if they haven't already.
That's not to say EME staff will stop reading the rest of the forum, as some of you seem to be worried about. There are only so many of us, so the idea here is that Player Council members will be knowledgeable and experienced enough to ensure the most pressing issues are kept in the spotlight, and well-worded, well-reasoned posts don't somehow go unseen by us here at EME.
So in short, Player Council members will perform a combination of highlighting solid forum content while helping to remove the negative forum content. It's all forum-centric so the communication will, naturally, take place on the forums.
That's exactly the kind of behavior that would get someone removed from the Player Council. The ability to edit is for things like fixing broken links or formatting, not altering the content that others have posted.
Also stop being vulgar in the forums, Desusky, and you won't have to worry about people being offended by your posts.
The situation here is a little different because EME is one step removed from the BHS development team, but as we've seen ever since the game went f2p, they still have considerable ability to shape and tailor the game to best suit the NA playerbase.
Make forums great again!
I will make sure everyone has a steady income of feedstock. No longer will you goto bed at night knowing that your +8 Lotuscreed Wraps will still be +8. I WILL make that +12 and then some!
It is time to bring sexy back.

Make Tera Great Again.
No that's not needed. You'd be limiting yourself. There's a lot of players here that truly want to help make the game better. But they'd be knocked out of the running because they didn't moderate some obscure forum or private server. It'll be on the community to weed out the player council members that are abusing power. That doesn't mean kick them out of the running because you don't agree, but only if they abuse the privilege they've been given.
Hah....no....I remember someone that said exactly this on one of the other games i play about the player council, so, random people that seemed very helpful around the forums got picked for it, except they were completely useless. And on another game...same thing...helpful people got picked, completely useless, and i still have suspicions that some of those people were actually illiterate.
There's a lot of players here that want to make the game better yes, i'm one of them. The only problem is that TERA seems to be entering the final years of it's life. The fact that's were missing a couple very important updates from KTera that we'll never get is proof of this.
It doesn't really matter how much you wish to help make the game better if the devs themselves don't give a rats [filtered] about the game.
The stage of life of the game is irrelevant here. Just because the system didn't work elsewhere doesn't mean it won't work here. EME has some of the most involvement with it's community that I've seen in a long time. There is still a bunch of communication issues and fundamental game issues. But they do seem to care. We all know that EME recently lost some employees due to lay offs. A smaller staff means more individuals picking up the slack of the people that are missing. Busier people means less time to pour through the endless garbage posts on the forums to find the gems that need to be relayed to EME. That's the whole goal of the player council. You're not a moderator, you're not a cm, you're not an elected official. You're a living forum filter. What EME does with that is outside of the point at this point. The player councils job is to find the relevant things that EME needs to see and put them right in front of EME.
That can and I'm sure will work. It's not meant to fix all the issues of the game overnight. Hell, EME may not be able to act on 99% of the things brought to them. But if one thing gets to their attention that they normally would have missed, then the player council has a legitimate purpose.
Complete bogus. EME isn't special, just as it has been in every community i've been a part of that has tried this player council, it will fail here just as it has failed everywhere else. We're not special.
Having past experience doesn't mean you aren't going to be corrupt. It just means they might do the job better, but that's it. Experience or not, they're human and may or may not make mistakes.
