Patch notes 55.Hotfix1

Patch 55.03.03.HF1
May 16, 2017 (Server updates begin at 7 a.m. PDT)

Miscellaneous
Just a quick update to address several issues.

Improved server stability.
Made Anniversary Tokens bankable.
Improved the matching algorithm for Corsairs' Stronghold.
Revised the names and tooltips for maid costumes and special emotes to clarify that 2014 elin emotes work only with 2013-14 maid uniforms and the 2017 emote works only with 2017 maid costumes.
Clarified the tooltips for Tailor Maid and Maid to Order smart boxes.
Removed potions from Tailor Maid and Maid to Order smart boxes.
Made assorted text edits for clarity.

So what can we expect on server stability? Hardware upgrade, changing routing (looking at you Zayo, dropping 4 packets full 100% on my route to TERA >.>), replaced networking hardware, pressured zayo maybe or switched to savvis?

    no server transfer fix?
  • We received a second hotfix this morning (in addition to the one deploying tomorrow) that we're currently setting up internally for testing. It is intended to fix the issues surrounding server transfers, so we should be able to re-enable them following its deploy. I can't say for sure when that hotfix will get pushed but we're working to get it out ASAP.

Sweet. Any word on fixes for controller users or do we still have to just cross our fingers and pray to Velik?

There was no warning that transfers were going to be halted. This is one of the reasons why people say the management do not care about players. Some of us are stuck on a server when we don't want to be any longer because you didn't give us a heads up to a service we pay to have there and use.

There's a message and multiple posts on forums along with a notice in-game at the calendar window.

Well the reason they took it down in a hurry was because it was causing lag. I suppose they could have done a "get all your transfers done in the next 6 hours because after that it's going down", but in the meantime there would have been more lag, and at the time it was pretty catastrophic. (And some people still wouldn't have gotten the notice anyway.)

It explains why it's down when you click on it or read the banner. It's not an issue they can predict and it's unreasonable to expect them to, otherwise they could have expected you to see the future too.

It only says they took it down because it may be causing lag. How is that an explanation or an "OK" to leave everyone in the dark when were locked out of transfers now for who knows how long?

The PC is nothing but butt kissers at it's finest. Common EME pick your new ones wisely!

Because how would EME know it's going to cause lag before it happens? This isn't kissing anything, it's unreasonable to yell at someone for not having the power to see into the future. If it was causing issues it's unfair for everyone to have to deal with even more lag just so some can continue using the transfer service. It was in most player's best interest that the feature was disabled to keep the lag issues down as much as possible until the issue can be resolved. I also have absolutely nothing to do with the lag or decision to disable features either, any other set of PC members would have made absolutely no difference. Have a good day though!

No the [filtered] kissing comes from PC members posting in forums mostly to "backup" EME. How can locking customers out of realm transfer with ZERO notice be OK?

There are A LOT of issues in TERA causing lag yet you don't see EME stopping those do you? It took how long for them to take out dreamstorm which was one of the biggest areas around lag at the time?

Please don't reply to me with more justification to backup EME on this, cause it just looks ridiculous IMO.
