Valkyrie reserved names not wiped yet?

So a friend and I picked out matching names before the valk was released with the intention of leveling them together. We both reserved them via the event. Friend ended up not playing however. Now I want his reserved name for one of my characters. When I try to add the name to my friend list, it says "no such player". But when I try to use a name change on the character I want the name on, it says the name is taken. So obviously the reserved names have not been wiped yet, even though they were supposed to be by now ("one month after the new class hits...").

So ye, @Spacecats , what's up with that?

    I still havent made my Valk and I reserved a name. It says until 5/25/17 right there on the home screen.
