Returning after years

So I'm mainly interested in trying the Valkyrie class out since I love Valkyries. I used to play a warrior and had a lot of fun with the game for a few months but put it down since the computer I was playing on died and never got back around to it when I finally replaced it. The draw of Valkyrie is making me want to give it another go so I had some questions about what to do with my account and what it has. So first it's several years old, I logged into it about a year ago and had dozens and dozens of things in the mail that I assume were just maintenance rewards that didn't expire, plus all my old stuff from trying to play the market when I knew enough about it to do that. Sure can't now. I'm not reinstalled yet to list it all but would those things be transferable to the Valkyrie? Also what kind of events or things should I keep an eye out or general advice to someone who hasn't played in a long time? I see this buddy up thing, and I'll be looking into other stuff. Thanks for any advice in advance

Almost everything can be put in your bank and transfer over to your new character if you create it on the same server.
Items in the Item claim are not bound to any character, you can claim them on your new character.

Here is an other thread where I answered an other new player/returning players questions, i think you can find lots of useful info there: https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/14949/new-player-pro-tips#latest
  • Thank you for the link, I'll check it out soon.

As you havent't played for a very long time, move carefully like a new player. Tera has changed a lot and even old content has been recycled. Meanwhile, the Tera homepage has undergone several improvements and in my opinion, it's somehow reliable as information source. Keep in mind that Tera changes much faster than most Tera-related sites can keep up. So if you find information e.g. 1 year old, it's outdated. Most of the important information is flowing between players only, so asking, talking helps you more than trying to collect from the internet.

The tera homepage is full of [filtered]. Just check their buddy up page... sometimes they update infomations, but 80% it is crap. Still not listing all dps classes, alliance, etc. Its just a big no.
  • I've noticed BAMs are a lot easier, among other things. The valk I made last night is almost 40 already when it took a few days to get there with my ancient warrior. essentialmana seems like the most up to date info source, and they have date tags on posts so i can at least tell if something's recent. I'm guessing theres no longer a level chunk where I need those horseman guys to summon dozens of little minireapers that will blow you up if they can touch you anymore? that was fun
