What can the Elite Instance Reset Scroll actually reset?

Excuse my inner noob but, I have literally a pile of Elite Instance Reset Scrolls that are apparently useless?
I believe things reset fairly quick for me for being Elite if I'm not mistaken? But I'm achievement hunting in old dungeons (currently Cultist's Refuge) because I forgot about the hidden boss and need to kill him 2 more times. I tried using my Elite Instance Reset Scroll and it didn't work.
It honestly doesn't seem to work on any of these, but in here it says it does?:

Only the double starred dungeons can't according to this, so why won't my scrolls work?

    They're mostly used for level 65 dungeons. I personally never tried using them on any pre-level 60 (and now 65) dungeon as the last time I used a reset on a non-level 65 instance it was for MC, in which case it did reset the timer. The support page you linked is also outdated.

    Unfortunately a lot of the support information is going to be outdated, how ever, feel free to ask your questions on forums and someone will happily answer them.

    Because the pre 60 dungeons have a time to do again.

    its 10min for not ellite and 5min for elite, starting when go in combat
    i dont see why you would was scrolls, if you can just wait 10min for the self reset.


    PS.> that link is outdated, it was valid when we still had lvl60 cap

    Because I wanted to instantly go in again and polish it off since I only needed 2 more kills on one boss. I was extremely eager to leave that dungeon behind me for good on that character.

    They work on solo content such as ace dungeons... if you're into that.
