SES has always been a problem since they were introduced in the game. And the main problem is again - casino mechanics. They should fix the cause of the problem, not provide event-based bandaids. But ... why bother.
so you're telling me you can +12 your weapon in a day worth of dailies? Now i'm really struggling to see the problem here
Personally, i want feedstock to be more readily farmable. But i just want to point out, the feedstock problem is not as simple as just because you cant dismantle gears
There is a feedstock shortage for one simple reason that everyone's forgetting: Last patch, and almost every patch for awhile we've had only 1 set that required mid-tier Feed (T8 was last patch). This time, however, we have 3 Sets that require the same Feed Tier. Slaughter, Conflate and Starfall, the later can be Awakened and people want to +15 it, which needs massive amounts of Feed.
There is a shortage because when people get SL, they'll want to get Conflate to PVP, as SL is terrible for PVP (with the exception of the weapon) this almost makes it so everyone suddenly needs double the amount of Feed as they required last patch, add to this that some other people want to stick with SF and +15 it and that we have a new class that everyone wants to gear, and you'll see that the demand of T9 feed is suddenly 3-4 times higher than it ever was for T8/T7/etc but the supply, the amount you can get was hardly changed. The supply is just as much as it was when there was just one set to enchant for that tier of Feed.
Another thing people is forgetting: Last patch you would get T8 Spellbinds from VGs. You don't get Spellbinds from them anymore. The only way to get T9 Spellbind is the weekly and transforming T8 into T9 at a 1:6 ratio.
Thanks to these 2 changes, gearing up costs way, way more gold than it did in previous patches.
1char around 300pcs tier9(included converted from tier8) x 6char =1800pcs for a +9(less lucky)>+12(lucky) ~! go check the pricing on the trade broker and do the math~! do u really think all players can do like this everyday ? how long is going to take for me to fill all 6 char with just mid tier set~! reminder: MID TIER SET ONLY ~! SO dont simply say no problem, and just about lazy players.(P.S. non-offensive comment)
Pretty much this.
At the minimum rate... 1 character, fully geared in +9 dreadnaught (easily obtained from just running channelworks and using equipment to enhance). They can easily obtain 240 T8 (120 T9) feedstock a day, Not counting whatever they happen to pick up from login bonuses or which drops from things killed. Multiple characters multiply this amount... We'll say 3 characters for about 6 hours a day (8x 10-15 minute run x 3 characters, plus time selling, healing, waiting, ect). That is still 360 T9 feedstock a day, 2.5k T9 feestock for the week... Enough to enchant 2 pieces of slaughter gear 0-12 with even horrible luck.
At a more reasonable rate, where that person is doing celestial arena a few times, killing the mid or higher Isle of Dawn BAMs, ect... That weekly intake of T9 feedstock becomes closer to 4k within the same amount of time spent.
Back in the days of running TAR and CW, with 8 characters, 20 dailies a day I was bringing in ~24k T7 (4k T8) feedstock a week (I know because I was making bank selling it).
The rate of income is still about where it was then. The only difference is that there is currently high demand for it between returning players and new class, and that enchanting T9 equipment isn't as easy as T8 was.
People who spend the effort still have about as much progress in the same amount of time as before. It's only those who are looking for the quick and easy progression who are hurting while demand is high.
man i remember 16 characters TAR every day... If only my pc was better i would have multicliented and do 5 at a time instead. I would be even more stocked up on junk than i am now. The bless of actually doing something in the game
No more bandaid fixes. Strongbox events are [filtered], and that's always their answer for everything, and then they expect people to just prance along happily afterward like it's enough to make up for a shortage for months after the strongbox event.
All they need to do is just not shut off the "event" where vanguards are giving double. That's it. Literally nothing drops in dungeons (yet another thing EME didn't tweak before it came here - why so lazy this patch, unlike last patch?), so we have to farm through vanguards now. At the current rates, I don't think we need changes. If they shut off the vanguard event again....well, good luck enchanting anything.
My Mystic is literally funding the Lancer and Sorcerer I levelled up this patch without any feedstock or money involved from the previous patch. And I'm also upgrading my Mystic at the same time.
It is nuts.
Anyone who played K TERA know if this will change in the future? Or will feedstock always remain this difficult to get with no dismantling system?
