Um whats the deal?!?

I main a Sorcerer and I love playing Sorc but for some reason even with full +12 gear with decent rolls and accessories, nobody wants to accept me into their parties or I automatically get kicked when que.

Why you all hating so much on Sorcs? I know they can be challenging but hey at least give us a chance, you'll never find out who is a good sorc and who's not if you don't let them try.

Methinks you doth protest too much.
  • First, it depends what you're queuing for. Pretty much anything above the 395 ilevel (FDNM, TSNM, FINM and later) is not something you want to queue for simply because of the high rate of drama and low success rate. You will frankly spend more time on wasted instance entries and waiting on the queue than is worthwhile. In the higher instance brackets, people, quite simply become elitist pricks who just want someone else to carry them for the run 9/10 of the time... If the party even makes it past the first few mobs before it degrades into arguments and members being kicked for one justification or another.

Beyond that, there are people out there who are trying to gear their Ninja in slaughter or better and who are pathetic enough that they will initiate the vote to kick on another cloth DPS class just so their chances of loot are higher. Sadly, once a vote is started, it no longer seems to require majority, or people simply click accept without thinking or looking at who or what is being kicked. Have seen similar situations where someone initiated a vote to disband after a boss just because they didn't get the gear drop they wanted, and party was disbanded without everyone approving.

Best advice I can give is to find a reasonably active guild to do your runs with, or look at LFG for any parties that need a DPS. Both these tend to be FAR more reliable when it comes to completing the higher tier instances, and far less likely to fall apart at the first death.

If you're getting kicked from something in the lower brackets... Then there is something else happening here that you are doing to give people a reason to kick.

most rolls I try to go for is higher cri rate if I dont get that I try to go for behind dmg or enraged dmg.

My crit rate right now is around 240-250 I believe, I know its a bit lacking but thats cause I'm working on getting a better brooch and inner armor once I have enough gold for it.

My vyrsks are Keen and armor is Hardy and my weapon is the basic Spiteful, Savage, Focused and Carving Niveot.

haha all I got from this ''people are assholes, deal with it'' haha but it is true and I agree. Most people dont want old dps anymore just the new op dps. I also notice that when I apply for an LFG if the leader is a ninja they won't accept me lol. Ah greedy people.

I play sorc as well, and i haven't had big issues with IM.

Never tried the lfg thing though, but if you find a decent guild you won't have problems :awesome:

Other than due to being afk, I've never been kicked on any of my characters other than my Gunner twice. Are you sure you're being kicked/reject over your class?
  • my main is a sorc too and I got kicked from an IM group only once, after I got disconnected. Either it's something that's happening only on your server or you're being rejected for some other reasons.

nope there no other reasons that i know of, even my guild members who play Sorc as well have mentioned this problem about being a Sorc. I'm on Tempest Reach btw
  • I am also on TR and I've accepted plenty of sorcs in my lfgs. The only time I don't accept them is if someone beat them to the application and we fill (first come, first served), or if there's someone tremendously wrong with their gear.

As previously suggested, can you post a screenshot of all your gears so we can see the rolls on gear (armor and weapon), and the crystals that you're using?

Honestly the only way we can really help you is for you to show us everything, from rolls to jewelry. If I were online right now I would ask you what your ign is and I would just look.

I also believe this also has to do with the kind of content. I haven't had any kicks from things like DFNM. It's the HM parts where people tend to get more paranoiac because, for one, they do not want to wipe their only daily run of the content. Two, an HM dungeon run with lower tier gear tends to go for much longer, and people don't want to spend too long in a single dungeon when they want to do other dailies. Third, though I suppose you are not in this group of people, some players are known to be bad sports and their names are spread around, so people kick them, and accidentally anyone with a similar name from their runs. Lastly, classic classes are currently at a disadvantage in their DPS. Only higher skilled people in older classes can keep up with the DPS of the newer classes. Others know this so they tend to prefer to run with new classes who will provide more DPS even if the players are average.
