CS: Gate Crystals/Enrage

Been wondering, since the gates burn fast in CS I've been told that pve crystals work on both gates as well as enrage.

Would like a confirmation if this is true or not plzu? :3

    I believe it was almost a year ago that pve crystals stopped working on gates.

    Here are some videos I made showing that they did not work as of 8 months ago, this was after the change where gates were made to no longer count as monsters for the purpose of crystal effects, which I think came with the introduction of wrathful and spiteful crystals. Focused is not shown, but I tested it and Wrathful again now just for you and neither affected my damage. Note that savage and other crystals that don't specify damage to monsters still work.

    (Pounding, Spiteful)

    (Wrathful)

    (Bitter, Backbiting)

    As for gates going down fast, there's just been a lot of buffs over time that have improved the damage people do to gate. New classes, class reworks, addition of noctenium in CS, charm effects being moved to jewelry where the effect can't decay with stamina, everyone being 65 and thus more likely to know how to deal damage to a gate, guild passives, and probably some other things I'm forgetting, have all made the gates go down quicker.

    the reason why pve cristals works in cs is because Sieges/gates/cristals have a elite monsta symbol ( skull icons above heads )

    but since 1 year ago ( brawler pacht ) they no are a elite monsta ( dont show like monsta )

    use keen visrk/debuff gate helps in gates /cristal

  • I completely agree with @Arnetra with what's they've posted. PVE crystals are no longer made for CS for quite some time now as they are registered as items instead of monsters. Players who go into CS and tell the team to 'enrage the gate with PVE crystals' just holds outdated information, and trying to correct them might lead to a fight so I haven't tried to really communicate with those players. I believe that their post should be pinned as a separate discussion in this sub-forum so it can inform players current information on how to perform well in CS.

    When attacking, you should use DPS crystals made for PVE but not being related to monsters or players. This includes crystals like Keen Vsyrks, Carving Niveots, while the rest could be what works for you and Relentless Niveots to have more HP since your defense buff from Hardy Niveots only work if being attacked by monsters and not players.

    When defending, you'd want to use PVP Zyrks so their attacks also affect themselves, as well as Carving Niveots, Savage Niveots, Forceful/Cruel Niveots, etc. It's okay to switch crystals between each round as it gives you that extra time to prepare. Being prepared is what makes a winning team, so good luck on the field.

    Just go indomitables if you know what you are doing... It doesn't matter if you have 24 extra crit factor if you just wipe to a significantly stronger team. The difference between a full burn with carving and indomitables is less than 10 seconds considering many classes have innate crit skills, but the added safety from one nuke can keep you from wipes.

    But yes, gates are no longer treated as monsters very long ago lol. I don't know why so many people are still trying to enrage.

    indoms dont increase my dmg and therefore dont speed up the gateburn though

    You are right, it doesn't. But if for some odd reason you guys can't do damage with crit crystals (you should have seen this case before), defending party actually manages to get to you before the gate dies (not very often), a wipe would naturally force you on a defensive position. This normally won't be a problem if you can quickly switch crystal sets. A dead dps does 0 dps for 10s + loading time. I personally won't blame the healer if you don't even save yourself from twoshots.

    Indoms give security in case your pc is a potato like mine and can't change crystals fast enough (past outer any competent party would be able to wipe inner gate/delay long anyway).

    somes keen glyps only works in pve, like ligthting strike for sourcer. same for others classes ( dont works in gate cristalls)

    im find more usable keen virsk since in cs you only have crifactor base, because equal gear only provides you pvp stats, by the way 10 seconds in cs maybe be the diferent betwen win or lose round.

    That makes alot of sense, I sometimes get people when doing offense telling others to switch to pve crystals and enrage the gate. And normally people in my party either argue or support that they work on the gate.

  • We needed the bump because of the revamp. Any word on if the new CS gates work differently? HP has been increased to make it how it used to be before the progressive nerfs. I noticed that enrage works again. I haven't tested pve crystals for gate since the revamp, but since enrage worked, is it possible pve works? Thanks

    nope, they only increase lv from gates /cristal,

    and for back damage still work pvp cristals like forcelutness/savage
