Island of Dawn BAM Names

edited May 2016 in Game Suggestions
So this has been bothering me since the Island of Dawn released. One of the BAMs you can kill is called an Ovolith, but I am pretty sure the species is Arachnen. Here is what I mean:

This is the BAM on Island of Dawn:

This is the bigger version that also resembles an Arachnen:

Now here is an Ovolith from outside of Senestral Manor:

And here is an Arachnen from Tenebrous Mines:

There are other examples of these BAMs keeping these specific species names, so I just wanted to point this out. I bring this up because people have started calling this species of monster Ovolith, and this could cause confusion.

Don't know what you're talking about, they're all the same type of BAM!

Not sure of this but I believe it was BHS who named these monsters and EME just translated them. In keeping the game as similar to KTera, as it's more or less BHS's wishes to keep the game similar across service zones, these names were kept. Maybe EME can change their names but I suppose they'd have to let BHS know or ask them about it.

Either all this, or someone at EME made an error somewhere in the translation.

As for the monster type, they are different. Different attacks, different animations. Different skins.

I'm not sure who named the BAMs, but I am pretty sure EME can fix it or have it fixed. It's just a simple error that causes problems with consistency. Yesterday on stream Spacecats called them Ovoliths. This does't sound like a big deal, but think about if I said, "The dungeon has an Ovolith BAM." Which one am I referring to? That's kind of an aside, but it's why I made this post. I'm pretty sure fixing it isn't a huge issue.

The main reason I wanted to reply though is that I don't think BHS is actively trying to keep the regions similar to each other anymore. We have Masterwork Alkahest Boxes in our Vanguard and Ktera does not. We also have the rewards program unique to us at the moment as well. On top of this Ktera has the talent system that they said no other region will be getting. As of right now, for most classes, the game state couldn't be more dissimilar. There are also a lot of changes in lore and quest mechanics, etc, etc.

Just some food for though. o:

Yesss this is bothering the heck out of me. Very small little localization translating thing - it can probably be fixed as easily as how they got the m in "Guild master" fixed
