How much dps loss do non-elin sorcs suffer?

I've been thinking to try out sorc class but I heard that elin is the absolute best race for the sorcs and other races suffer dps loss due to slower animations than elins. Well I don't really like elins so I was thinking to roll either human or castanic F sorc but I've read somewhere that such dps loss can be as great as 15%. Does anyone have any idea on this? I'd rather play another class than playing as elin lol :p

................for get advantaje in animations locks you need a ridiculus low ping (like 10-20)
15 % is noting if you know about how to used sorcer rotation, and know how changed rotacion in all dungeon situacion,
guides only are a reference, no all true.

no offense my dude but it sounds like you've bamboozled because that's one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. 15% dps lost from race animations? LOL what is this, slayer discourse from 2012?

i seriously doubt you'd be affected by your choice of race at all. unless you're like playing ktera with 1ping and a beefy computer.

basically elin sorc is 10% faster every 15-20s or so over every other race, as their lightning strike and meteor strike end slightly earlier than the rest

if you aren't concerned with being at the absolute top (which realistically isn't possible without single digit ping) then play whatever race you want, castanic is the second best race due to their 1% back crit chance passive.

it's closer to 8-9% but yeah there is that huge disadvantage, which BHS fails to realise.

I have a good computer , just not good ping hehe :p

I know 15% dps loss sounds ridiculous just because a player chooses not to play an elin but I do remember reading somewhere on reddit , where some guy said non-elin sorcs suffer around 11% dps loss. Even on Hallex's sorc guide on essentialmana he strongly recommended switching to sorc.

Huh thanks :) Obviously I am not aiming to be a top player ; I know I can't be one anyway due to my high ping. I just wanted to know if I could still dish out reasonable dps as compared to good (elin) sorcs. Say if I play non-elin sorc which is around 8-10% dps loss and top (elin ofc) sorc players can do 2 mil dps , then I would like to be able to do at least 1.5 mil dps. Do you think it would be possible?

Btw do you guys think BHS might equalize sorc animations for different races in future?

I read somewhere that they're doing away with the different skill animations per race/gender in the future. I can't remember where I read that tho, so don't quote me on that.

That would be great - I mean even the Castanic back-crit advantage which is far less is a small but definite advantage that makes other races far less attractive to many players. I mean just consider how much more players pay to get just a couple of extra crit factor....

    :(

I would love too be able to choose Classes on the basis of aesthetics with different buffs for certain races in preferable non-dps areas.

I keep seeing people saying this, but I haven't seen any proof since the sorc revamp. Of course it was a thing with the old mana boost, but everyone seems to just blindly believe it's still a huge difference.

And it's true that shorter animations matter less at higher pings. Maybe whoever started this was looking at KTERA sorcs, or ones that live really close to the servers, because I doubt it's a noticeable difference if you've got average or high ping.

That's hardly even a noticeable difference. Thanks for the link, though.

It's not as noticeable because he didn't spam Lightning Strikes (which is an affected skill).
