News about a better PvP gear than Conflate?

edited June 2017 in PvP Discussion
Conflate being tier 9 gear got buffed last season to not fall greatly against Ambush/Behemoth, however the weapon itselft was not even with Imperator.

Conflate was a PvP gear being able to obtain throught BGs credits in a smooth pace just by spending time doing PvP content, however with the removal of credtis from BGs theres no way to obtain it anymore (broker also lacks of many designs and other crafting mats).

With the introduction of the new BGs rewards now people that likes PvP stuff relies on rng to get what they need to get Deathwrack and this is even lower than rolling agains others on dungeons.

I think this time BHS are rewarding the most those that do PvE and makes the PvPers to consider running dungeons to get properly geared to stay competitive against others.

Would be nice to have a better way to get mats or at least to have an exclusive PvP gear that can be obtained from maybe Vanguards at least, also previous PvP jewellery is being vanished from the map mean while you can still get previous demense and demenseborne accesories from PvE.

I think that PvP should have equal options as PvE has already. PvE has 3 diferent tiers of gear (t10, t11 and t12) mean while PvP has only a... Deathwrack? We have no designs for t11 gear, we have no crafting mats for t11 gear pr t10 gear, we do have enchanting mats for them (and being funny those are t10) but crafting materials are only for t12. Also for PvE we have demense and heaven/godly accesories mean while for pvp we only have key jewellery.

This kind of thing makes some people that don't like to run dungeons (such as new players that don't like pve content) being forced to run them so they can at least get a third wheel gear for PvP.

I think that this patch was meant for PvE veterans that have their ambush and can choose between getting deathwrack or stay in ambush but for PvPers veterans that don't bother with BiS are being forced to run dungeons to get Ambush and key jewellery at least.

I would love to read opinions in this matter.

  • Gear is essentially hybridized, and with how BGs are these days the only "PvP" gear you need is VM since the only non-EQ BG is team 3's.

There is very little reason to gear specifically for PvP unless you're really hardcore and need every little edge to beat someone. Even when Conflate was "buffed" it was still inferior to vm8 (and even starfall) with how gear is balanced PvP, OW, GvG, CU or team 3's, has become more of an "end game" thing that you only really begin to focus on when you're done with PvE (though it's really easy to PvP with PvE rolls tbh).

Also, BHS is really lazy and trying to make them do anything is like trying to make a blueberry that tastes like fried chicken.

And here we go with this discussion again :). PvP doesn't need gear anymore thanks to everything being equalized. And once again we'll have some wonderful logical errors by a certain group of players.

If people want gear to be obtainable solely through PvP, then battlegrounds should be made unequalized, because exclusive PvP players have a way to gain gear through PvP, and thus should be able to earn their advantage through PvP. Conflate was a very good, cheap PvP set to make and was easily obtainable from grinding BG's.

Yet people refused to craft their PvP gear and just complain against unequalized FWC being added back to the game b/c of gear carry imbalance ( even though the gear thats given if your ilvl isnt high enough is busted anyways)

I don't understand why players are asking for PvP sets to be obtained from PvP if there is no where to use it outside of open world PvP (dead everywhere except FF) and team 3s.

Well is sad because if people don't get geared at least with mid tier then they would not stand a chance on GvG, OW and CU.

Before players could jump directly to BGs to gear and get mid tier, conflate or BiS. Now they only have one option and is so random to get the mats needed that they will stay on lvl 1-64 gear if they don't run PvE content anymore.

    That's what I am about.

    @nutmeg

GvG, OW, CU and Team 3's.

You played BG's to get credits and gear to play the other PvP content so having BG's equalized is not an argument to discard a mid PvP or ways to obtain a mid tier PvP when you have more things than BGs for PvPers.

Yes, I totally agree with unequalized gear. Battleground should be "Battle" means you must be ready. Just like doing dungeons, you need to get good gear and rolls.

Misery and Guile? Gears are hybrid since a while and PVP is dead anyway.

i actually tried pvping yesterday with my old Tensus set and its not even bad in todays PVP xD
  • Conflate should still be attainable. The stats on it are much better than misery gear, so why is it now impossible obtain despite that?

They don't make pvp gear anymore, if your guild wants to stand a chance in GvG or civil unrest you'll have to grind/pay for +15 gear lol.
  • in PvP I only want to see equalized gear, because that's the only way to have skills prevail. Nothing though prevents the developer to introduce a system that allows to gain special currency through PvP that can be spent on unique PvE gear. There are many games that do so in a masterful way...
  • Please, "skill" at being the newest op class? If I want to stack crit resist on my gear or go full power and attack speed, that should be a choice. It made the game more interesting when it was uneq

How come a thread about asking for mid tier gear being able to be obtained throught PvP content became now about eq vs uneq battlegrounds? ¬¬

Conflate armor ( Not the weapon ) is still better than misery for PvP and the gloves are still very viable, but it's outdated and by next patch will be dead gear.

BHS seems to want PvP gear to be in the form of jewelry instead of a separate gear set from now on. All weapons have +PvP damage, and players who want a PvP set can retool their accessories into the PvP versions. PvP gloves/boots/armor seems to be becoming a thing of the past, with conflate gloves being the only PvP armor item that is still currently worth making.

what prevents you to join the battle with a "new op class"? then, if you happen to win or lose, is that skill, luck or what?
