Which would be best class to play at 200 ping for PvE?

Title. I am confused between warr/slayer/zerk. I've rolled slayer now but I miss my zerk lol

I play warrior and i do decent, but i could be doing a lot better if i had normal ping. The worst laggy stuff that happens is that skills sometimes won't chain properly so i'd do a REALLY slow BD, or sometimes i'd like to scythe and it doesn't, so i think i scythed and start my combo again while having 10 edge.

But for most of the times i can play fine, someone with 50ms can probably cancel Traverse Cut within the 1st 2 hits or the first one, i have to do like 4-5 before i can move or do anything, so sometimes i die because i can't cancel the skill on time due to 200ms.

Overall is a good experience as a warrior with lag, but seeing how better i could do with lower ping sometimes makes me sad.

    Priest. . . .

    Anything but warrior.

    Seriously.

Zerk has issues at higher ping with charge skills (every charge skill has this problem - at higher latencies, filling each bar will lag a bit so it takes forever to charge the skill), but overall I'm not sure how much it's affected DPS-wise. Slayer can be played at high ping decently, though.

    ...But really, anything but warrior.
  • Healer or sorc probably. But 200 ping is very difficult, if you can find a closer region with lower ping, I recommend playing on that region instead.

    Ikr .. :(

Sadly only other server I can play on is TERA EU (which is very p2w and I hate it with passion) and even then it still gives me 120-150 ping which isn't very good either. So I am more or less stuck with TERA NA.

120-150 Is way more playable, but it's understandable why you wouldn't want to play there. Slayer, sorc, or healers would be your best bet. Slayer might suffer a bit but I'm not sure you'd be able play zerk remotely effectively with it's charge skills being it's main damage.
  • at high ping, absolutely do NOT go warrior or reaper

you can try slayer/priest/mystic/sorcerer/valkyrie, those 5 would prob be your best bet

Tried playing slayer , it seems good but I am having problems dodging boss attacks in dungeons due to ping. Might give sorc a try since its ranged class.

You're going to have that problem on any class, tbh, especially with faster bosses like Darkan/Lakan. You don't have much time to react, and your reaction time is severely deficient when you've got a permanent 2s lag. You WILL get hit by things. Sorc's warp barrier is a tad bit more forgiving, but they also get oneshot if a boss even so much as looks at them, so if you can't i-frame earlier to make up for your delay, you're going to die a lot more than on slayer. Sorc is "ranged," but technically you still have to play pretty close to bosses, not much further back than the melee.

Your best bet is to get used to i-framing earlier. I haven't played with 200+ ping outside of server freakouts or Zayo instability, but you need to compensate by i-framing before you see the animations; how much earlier is up to your ping. Try playing around with it.

Thnx :) I have started playing healers recently btw and it feels much better and relaxed than playing dps :p

Healers at high ping will get problems the moment the dps starts taking more damage than usual. You can keep buff/debuff uptimes most of the time still, but locking is going to be a pain.
