CS leading tips and techniques?
Hi im Flayre of MT, i would like to ask some leading tips and maybe some techniques (if possible) in leading cs especially on offense. I just can't get how to lead it since the gate are buffed and most of the time my raid gets overwhelmed by pvp. ppl are also expecting to climb NL, decoy SG too so it doesn't work well with most my runs. halp pl0x
I'd like to learn it instead of just random passing around the lead... that's just bm and dumb.

i do spam a lot
* Break Gate -> Zerg Corresponding Inner (example - SG -> RL)
* NS - LL with Lancer and Priest
* Capping Mid after gate before IG, since it's kind of useful now with the new gates
But unfortunately, it's hard to manage so many people on a team
Some will run off and try to do their own thing, so most you can do is try to get them to stay together
and not scatter. And I've been in rounds where you've lead fwc. I think the principle is similar..
Hi! thanks for the plans, i'll see if i can use it sometime around and yeah the hardest thing to do as the leader is to make 20ppl coordinate as one. the struggle ;;
I think the major difference in leading cs vs fwc is that in cs leader plans really matters at first, especially on offense while on fwc is just the same thing over and over and you just see how your raid works. leader is pretty much useless if the raid is good.
Siege spam is a pain in the bum, so you always want to have someone taking them down. Defensively there's nothing much different now except that mid rushes are a bit more often, so sieges shooting ships and ladders is a top priority since it multiplies damage.
oke thanks a lot!
The best tip I can give you as a successful leader is to encourage communication. Communication is key in any mass pvp battleground, even more so in the ones with objectives. Tell them to call stuff out whether on offense or defense. Other than that, be aware at all times and scan at the appropriate times. A good leader will have more than one plan on hand and be able to adapt and respond as the situation calls for. You'll gain more experience with each match you lead so just keep at it and don't give up.
But, yes.
Leading wise, this is what I focus on when Offense:
Call out buffs/debuffs/etc. Having the whole raid ready (and in crystals!!!) is key.
Make sure your team is split properly. You don't want to call Team 1 to do NS if they lack a lancer and a healer. Don't be afraid to move parties around if they're not a premade. That said, DO NOT think all premades are bad. Some premades have a certain way they flow. It never hurts to work around them if you know for a fact that it may bring you out on top.
Focus gates. While SS/NS may work if your classes are pretty well stacked against the other, that gate going down is going to give you extra time, as well as distract them for potential ships. No matter if you're on offense first or last, keep the team moving together. Hold down the pyre if you have to as lead. I find myself doing this often. Click on the gate you're taking down and be vocal. It's easier for the team to know how much percentage is left. It's, also, easier to call if the pyre is going to be lost. You'll have better eyes for what's in front of you, and your team.
Depending on how many people are outside, you'll be able to split 3 to mid and the rest to inner gate. This may not work each match, so you have to be willing to be versatile. Sometimes an empty mid is an easy take. Sometimes mid stays stacked and you have to focus inner gate. Sometimes you'll have 1 person on right/left inner and that rush is available. Work with the scenario and listen to your team. Scan every moment you're not in combat, as this can lead to a slip up from the other team. When you're at inner gate, do the same for outer gate. Click on that gate and get the percentage up on it. As lead and with inner gate, you gotta be in there and noting the ladders and how many they have in the courtyard. If the gate goes down, Kaia shield/Iframe in. It'll make it easier. If you leak in ladders, make sure to call it and scan. This gives the whole team knowledge to if they're able to climb, or if working on that gate entrance will result in less deaths, and a better time.
Defending:
Make sure to check crystals. PVP crystals in this portion are going to be crucial.
Everyone has the standard 3-1-3 on inners due to ships and rushes. If you have a gunner more than willing to sit left inner and watch on ship, then do it. 2-3 people should go to mid to cap and have sieges up. They help out a long way. The rest should be out for PVP. If the gate goes down in under 2 1/2, then they're putting out good damage. You want to have those at mid watching for ships. When they call it, YOU call it. Don't be afraid to spam if the ships don't go down. You need to have inners ready, and everyone else needs to be on edge. With inners, spam if you're not at the 3 on each. It may be annoying to some, but you're the leader. Use your /N and use it to spam the hell away. Same with your scan. Spam it every time it's available. I like to call when I'm 10 seconds til scan, and right before scanning. This gives people a heads up to pay attention to the map. Never scan if you have a climber and you're on inner. One less DPS can be fatal depending on what your inners look like. Tag the inner gate like you do on offense. Keep the percentage up. Call it every 5% down. When it hits 20%, be vocal and spam. When the outer gate goes down/climbers on outer, make sure people aren't chasing outside. The whole game can be thrown if more than half of your team wants to run out far past the pyre. Keep them close. Same with inner gate. Make sure they're in the courtyard and close. Do not have them PVP behind gate, as you're not technically pushing them away from the gate itself. Try to keep mid as long as you can, but if the gate has too many opponents on it, focus on the gate. I say mid because those sieges do more than a random SS launch in the middle of the game. It helps out more than bombs do. With climbers on inner, have both inners be vocal on every one who touches it. Even if they go down, make sure they call to clear it. YOU should be calling and repeating what they say as well. The whole team can rely on inners, and it's usually inners to blame if someone gets in. Doesn't matter if your inners are stacked, or if only one person is against a rush. Be vocal and trust those inners. By this time your inner sieges should be filled. Keep them going, as they result in that "behind the gate" damage that'll take out those a little too close to the gate, and too far from the PVP action. When the gate hits 10%, move inners to 2-0-2. When the gate downs, 1-0-1. At 10%, spam that people need to move in. Have them ready. Those respawning should respawn inside unless you have mid. At 5%, everyone should be ready to push them back. This is why keeping your inner sieges and possible mid sieges are essential. Iframing and Kaia's Shield only does so much. You can take out hoards of enemies if done properly. With that 5%, watch your scan. Climbers and ships could be coming as an easy way, since they know that the gate entrance will be packed. Work with what you see, and reinforce the area if needed.
I didn't mean to I swear
It never hurts to watch and mimic other leaders, though. We all start somewhere. I was nervous as hell taking CS lead way back when, but these days I prefer it.
I legit just spam " 3-1-3 defend inners I will kill everyone else" Or "Go to North/South gate" and just annihilate the enemy team if they attack. Good defense is a good offense and a good offense is an even better offense.
It's really just playing it by ear, giving simple directions, scanning every so often (not too much because people will do their own thing), and killing people on objectives overwhelmingly.
Your team gets wiped at gate on defense? All mid and fill all 4 mid sieges to contest mid (or inner if they went there) to slow them. The real thing is understanding that people are going to flame you more for leading and that majority of the time it's not your fault and to just ignore it and learn from the lose. If your team is just worse than the other in PvP by a wide margin, chances are you are gonna lose no matter if you make the right calls. It just happens and don't get too down about it.
