Berserker questions

Hi all,

Returning player here and I have several questions regarding the zerk class.

1) What is the minimum or ideal critical rate for a zerk class, with mystic and without?
2) Does attack speed affect charging speed? Is attack speed even worth it for zerkers?
3) Zerk tank, top line: Enrage or Attack speed?
4) Accessories: Mix Crit & power or full crit?
5) Applepie or red velvet cake?

Much appreciated,
Vax

    1) There is no hard crit cap for zerk, stack as much crit as you can. until your thunder strike has more than 90% crit chance.
    2) ASPD does affect charging speed. Not worth for zerk DPS. Nice for zerk tank and no one expects zerk to tank.
    3) I prefer ASPD over enrage top line. because enrage up time is lower with zerk tank. Your tank rotation will be much smoother with extra ASPD.
    4) Full crit.
    5) I don't like them, bring me ice cream.

    zerk main here.

    1) atleast +250 in this patch. I run +266

2)attack speed is really useful on zerk but you only roll it on gloves. Use a quick carve. Maybe attack speed on the extra line for vm weapon but ive never seen it done before

3)enrage with anotger enrage bottom roll

    4) Jewelry is a personal preference. I suggest full crit until you have atleast +240 crit factor with a 3/2 crit power setup. Even then its questionable.

1.- no sure, since they add buff to slaying mode zerk ( triple chances to crit vampiric blow/lethal strike ) but im cant crit enough times ts with 58+260 crit factor without craving niveot ( because TS is the most dps source in berseker ), under slaying mode you dont need craving niveot.

2.- im tested for berseker tank ( 9% atack speed +2.5% in gloves +4.5 from bravery potion ) but, for do dps ( only dps berseker ) you cant get atack speed roll since you cant crit enough and you lose damage in normal and slaying mode (yes, atack speed charges more fast TS,Autoatack, Raze ( no diference without glyp ) flaten ( no diference under intimidation mode ), and other charges skills )

3.- same like 2.- , berseker tank have the almost high treatening modificador, for this reason they can hold agroo instead do low damage ( and shouts gave you 5 second for the max amouth agroo ) , but since they dont have infuriate , you lose some dps for no cirlcle enrage bosses, but in zerk tank atack speed only afected TS ( since you are the only tank who need charge skills ) and vb, because ciclone, lethal strike dont able cast under intimidation mode.

4.- full crit..., power for berseker is no optimal since they can buffed with fiery rrage and bloodlust ( im tested forcelutness and pouding ) and dont matther how much crit factor you have, berseker is very high dependece from critfactor ( 58+270 and im catn do enough crit with ts without craving niveot ), of course, use power if you ts crit almost 95% al time with less crit ( and no craving niveot ), but if you get por mixed crit /power and you dont crit with ts , you lose dps all time

I'm trying a mixed crit/power build after ages of going full crit. In the past I had a crazy amount of crit, like over +280 or something. I dropped it down to 239 and swapped out a bunch of jewelry for power stuff instead. So far, I really like it. Where my normal crit rate was about 70% before, now it's roughly 55%; but when I do crit, they are much bigger. If I could pass 250 crit factor, which isn't difficult, that number would definitely shoot up even more, making the difference no longer up for debate. With a mystic, the question's moot; extra crit becomes redundant, and the power build always wins out.

I went the attack speed top line route for a while. It felt nice, but the damage was pretty bad. If there's a charging difference, I didn't notice. Mainly did it for the smoother feeling while playing. When I switched to double enrage, my damage jumped tremendously.
  • As a zerker it seems for the best damage you want above 200 crit factor mixed with some.power If you go all crit you may crit more often but the amount of damage dealt will be slightly lesser than if you you had some power to boost that damage up as for what's ideal I have no clue.

You want +300 crit. Run 2power/3crit with mystic and full crit with priest.

I don't tank on zerk, but I'd suggest enraged dmg.

I mean, it's nice to see 10mln crits in guile, but seems like nope, you still need full crit.
Even if, testing on IoD mid-tier bams, with 3 power and 2 crit vs full crits, I couldn't see much difference.

Here's what I think. If you feel like your crit setup *is* working, meaning, if you see yourself critting a good % with TS and your main skills, then stay full crit. But if you still lack etchings/jewelry/jewelry-rolls and have a bad cf, just use a carving and go hybrid till you have all what you need.
