Champions’ Skyring elitism FTW

Why is there even a Jackpot in Monday's if most of the people can't (or are allowed to) play???

I queued 4 times, around 15 minutes queue time each, and once I join I'm kicked even without playing, even tough I have all the correct crystals...

  • What is your class and Crystal set up? What was your rating before getting kicked?

Sometimes it's not the right crystals but the type of crystals. Some people I've ran with have used cruxes, most ppl would kick them

tbh I don't get why people get kicked in Skyring nowadays that crusades aren't around anymore :/
  • That's one thing about this game that I loathed. The pvp aspect (solo queue 3's in particular) is toxic. It's all about winning and having the best chance of winning. If there's someone on your team that looks like they aren't the best equipped, then kick and kick some more until someone comes along that does. What ever happened to teaching or advising others with less or no experience? What ever happened to just having fun? No one cares nor has patience, they just want to win. Then they cry about long queues. They have only themselves to blame as they have driven others away.

From my and many other's experience, people don't get kicked without a chance unless you have the wrong setup or have a troll rating (like sub 600) and if you haven't gotten the chance to play the former is more likely. There are a few people here and there who scum kick but it happening 4 times in a row with different groups is very unlikely unless there's something wrong on your end.
  • I see a bigger issue where people kick after the first round. The first round doesn't go the way they wanted it so they kick what they see is the problem and try to get a better player. Obviously the "problem" wasn't crystals or it would have gotten kicked before round 1. It's players upset that their team isn't as strong as they wanted so they attempt to stack.

Only ever seen this a handful of times, when the player was either afk during the match or simply wasn't paying attention. Kinda scary tho, even though I've been to 1200 in solo q i'm still of being kicked if we lose a round :anguished:

In my experience kicking happens most in the first round. Guys with 30% win ratio or lower, improper crystals, known BM, "hi im new", etc. The round 2 kicks happen sometimes and it's almost always in good matches, where it's 5 good players and one dragging down the match.

To avoid getting kicked all you can really do is not be bad. And not be unlucky! Sometimes even good players get caught up in crazy losing streaks to the point they're getting kicked.

Well..I agree with some comment, but don't agree with some other comment.

sometimes, after losing the 1st round, some people try to kick one of the other member. That is really sad and I do not really want to kick my team as long as they all tried.

However, when I enter 3s arena, I (as most people do) inspect others and kick the person with wrong crystal, of course, after asking them to switch..
I have seen lots of forum posting about getting kicked even before the match begins. Most of them said "I have full PVP crystal, but got kicked even before the match began"

Well, every time when I see this kind of posting, I ask them their specific crystal that they use for pvp and, very unfortunately, more than half of them(well, it most of them, tbh) used WRONG CRYSTAL. This is major reason they got kicked, but sadly, they did not even realize they use wrong crystals for pvp such as BITTER / POUNDING / SPITEFUL / WRATHFUL.

You might say it is still elitism. However, crystals are really cheap now, and using wrong crystal simply means you are not prepared at all. You just need 5-10min to prepare correct crystals for your role for PVP and PVE. Asking to spend 5k gold and their 10min to prepare is not elitism in my opinion. And there is no reason to carry this kind of people to farm their rewards.

Kicking happens because frustration, Bitter hatred, and wrong crystals. My opinon on the matter is that kicking is only okay if the person you are kicking is afk for a extended period of time, does not have the proper crystals, or is refusing to learn. It's never okay to kick someone simply because they are unskilled, you want to win, or you really despise the person.

I have seen to many matches
where dps do bm [filtered]. where they kick a healer because the healer made a mistake, they kick the healer or ask to kick at the start because "oh low rating." Likewise I've seen healers kicks for the same reason some being stubborn and going I'm not going to play if you don't remove this person. Instead of just going with it.

Listen, IDGAF if the priest or dps you have who ques is sub 800's. if they have the proper crystals and they are willing to learn ask questions about how they avoid certain skills or deal with certain things. do not be the jackass who gets peeved and goes are you [filtered]? because you understand the game mechanics at this point better than them.

You let them play give feedback respectfully afterwards (as respectful as you can be be) and offer suggestions to help improve or get better. Specfic advice not just "git gud." I know it's frustrating getting someone who has no [filtered] clue what they are doing you have a strong dps partner helping you try to carry and [filtered] play. Do the best you can and move onto the next match.

Now, I know what some people are going to say about this tactic. That it contributed to letting bad player keep queing keep [filtered] other people's rating up etc and that they never learn. For some that is the case and if they are not willing to learn they keep going "[filtered] you Im going to keep queing and not bother learning anything."

Then by all means let them have the boot. If you are not willing to learn and instead keep coming in enacting what is the definition of insanity then they do not deserve to play. But, if they are learning getting better with each match learning how to deal with people you should let them be despite whatever bias you have against them.

Put away that frustration and rage. Which can be hard to do at times when you go losing streak of 8 or 9 losses or your about to hit high rating and then someone [filtered] it up for you.

And try to give constructive criticism it will help build up the community alot more rather than making it "exclusiv e"

    TLDR

Stop kicking those equipped with proper crystals if they are willing to learn despite rating. Only kick those with improper crystals, and non willingness to learn or if they are afk.
