Rewards for not Playing a Symptom of the 2017 Tera Community?
I'm confused as to the goal behind an event like this.
Log for 2hrs auto kick log again rinse repeat the end.
I mean new content pizazz faded already methinks after a week. Plenty tryhards already in VM9 and stopped playing again after VHNM x9000. People not included in elitist statics are left to LFG or afk regarding VSHM. Newbs who want to learn are getting ignored as usual and elitist are still complaining about lack of tanks and well players in general. Guilds are dying apparently as another big guild on TR taking a hiatus and a couple few in top 20 are already experiencing high levels of inactivity. FF14 pretty much stole some people away and everyone is waiting for the next big MMO till then yeah not much to do for an elitist or a filthy casual that gets excluded from ingame content on the premise of superiority.
1-2 weeks into the new patch this is not good at all. A game should be bustling with activity not "which is the next guild to die this month extravaganza."
Just saying the game should probably create more incentives for both polarizing groups to want to play with each other and maybe the game wouldn't feel so um empty? I think this and the reliance of statics really is the crux of the issue. When static dies off the resulting problems are crippling. Apparently, I have noticed it has gotten to a point where it doesn't even matter if you are good, decent, competent, wiling, or skilled in HH previous HMs. The office politics in this game is just jarring and hard to contemplate since TERA 2017 is extremely easy compared to TERA 2013-2014 and Lakan is 1000x easier than Lachelith.
If that's the case why is the toxicity still here when the game was made easier and overwhelmingly caters to casuals?
As for specific ideas not my job already have a 8-6 :pleased: , but I think the solution is simple. Instead of creating events that isolate one another or cater to one specific group, play around with the incentives and make the rewards for helping each other worth it. I'm sorry but TERA is not as hard as it used to be and the level of unwillingness, toxicity, and hostility towards newbs is jarring. This game always had this problem partly why I left in 2014, but wow has it gotten worse:
The yelling like really?
Cursing inexcusable
Name calling
Disrespect
Public shamming
Negativity did I say negativity?
Shade, shade, shade
Hypocrisy
Above keyboard heroes are harassing other players and I believe this attitude needs to get fixed or TERA will never even come close to its glory days. Yes I just experienced this recently and well I guess finding a welcoming guild is difficult in this game. 2017 TERA and to me it feels like a sin to to help random newbs, guild members, or anyone not in the social Elite Tera Club.
I feel somewhere the enjoyment factor was forgotten despite the mundane recycled content. Playing TERA for laughs, fun and camaraderie should be what is valued foremost. Not DPS meters, haxs, or clear time. So I say I mean just try it Rome wasn't built in a day not everyone will be good as you, but help someone out today it might make you feel good and have patience. Its a losing game, but in the end Guilds are providing a service. Guild members are the customers will only commit if it is mutually beneficial. If above is the definition of your guild and you wonder why the lack of tanks, skilled DPS, or healers....well to me a guild is a reflection of yourself and core values not your static.

"Tera is dying".
Move along my friends.
Quote:
Poorly handled events leading to faster content burn out.
Bigger than ever discrepancy between rich/poor and elitists/casuals.
Apparently other games "stealing" players.
Problem of guilds being static clubs instead of friendy/familly-style proxy.
Small number of "elite people/guilds" controlling the server, so-called social Elite Tera Club
End quote
You're welcome
The majority of tera players at 65 are either undergeared or in mid tier. The content is burned out faster, but not as much as you make it seem. Elitism is not even wide spread either. There maybe ppl who only want +15 for that hard dungeon your running, but nothing is stopping you from making your own lfg or just queueing.
Also, Please explain to me the "divide" between the rich and the poor?? rich people are simply poor people who worked hard for their [filtered] or just figured out how to make money. Poor people can be rich people
I've asked this many times but maybe you'll have the answer: What's stopping the newbs from forming their own learning LFG parties and wiping together? Why are newbs ignoring each other and how is that the fault of "elitist" players?
or play another video game while be afk in tera
Event is not problem, those spoiled brats that think they are making something huge outta this are the problems.
many honest players can actually use the extra loot while playing. those players were always exploiting, now it is obvious, now people understand why me and some players here have issues regarding some stuff here, we had diamond on calendar reward, was removed b/c those players could exploit it, we had diamond jackpot for dungeons, was nerfed massively because those players was exploiting them and I can give way more examples.
Now when you hear a damn dev somewhere, or some players somewhere got banned, you know why and you know now why it was necessary and it is still necessary to have that Banhammer around, because of these kind of players the whole community can't have good things.
Its easy to say 'make your own lfg' on forums , its very difficult to actually do it
always get suspicious about folk who complain about folks being mean to them without actual context. maybe it's you, mate.
I didn't say to make your own LFG, I asked why you can't. Based on your answer, it seems there are very few newbies around making it entirely possible for "elitist" player to simply not be coming into contact with such a small group.

But it is though!
I started a couple of characters on EU Tera on Mystel to check a couple things considering ping and oh boy. Things are ALIVE. Not extremes but they are ok. And that ok is looooooong away from what we see here.
o.Noob dungeons queue times are 3-4 minutes.
o.Areas are bustling with people.
o.I had to compete with 10 more people in 8-9 different channels north of elenea at the mobs you farm for xp.
o.Velika and highwatch had more people than my pc could render.
And yet this is not good. It's OK. Just to give you an image of how bad are we here in NA.
Just because a few people have their static and have people ready to play whenever they want and shout on forums that the game is fine and whoever says otherwise is a filthy whiny casual, doesn't mean that this is reality.
I ve seen the other side of the hedge and the grass is at the least greener. Almost tempting...
que times are pretty short for me already. plenty of people farming daily. maybe you just play at bad times? also on the guild related issue if your not making friends in your guild thats your problem. in any game ive played ive found it fairly easy to make friends. just be active in chat make jokes invite people for runs and they will invite you back. enjoy it. pretty soon youll become like family. the fact that you have a few anecdotal experiences does not prove the game is dying.
wh... what? who farms at elenea for xp? who farms for ANY xp these days outside of dungeons? but especially at elenea? that place is awful. i'm so confused.
also queue times are instant for leveling dungeons if you're leveling a healer and/or tank. they've been long for dps since the dawn of time.

1) I never said anything about guilds. But since you mentioned it, of course in guilds things are better. What I said though is that in Eu things are better for the general population of the game. Now imagine that it is even better in EU guilds than it is in NA simply from the sheer numbers. I did a comparison, I didn't say this is strictly good or strictly bad.
2)in this game we have only anecdotal information. We have no official info about player numbers, traffic etc. AND you are telling me that I use anecdotal info when you start you text with: 'queus are pretty short FOR ME' and 'plenty of people'.
I am not bashing you. Please don't get me wrong.
Also define 'pretty short' please. Because I am talking for 3-4 minutes for dps queue for dungeons lvl 20-60. Even Ebon tower 58-60 lvl pops in less than 6 minutes.
Btw I play since 2013. I ve been in so many guilds I can't remember the names after all these years. Good and fun times. But they all come to an end.
