Here are some statistics on Armors, comparing starfall, conflate, dreadnaught, and slaughter. I don't have access to Imperator. I don't have the exact numbers remembered, but here are the rough stats:

Scenario: ninja first auto attack, using +15 starfall weapon, on a full +15 starfall leather armor Archer. White damage, front damage (back damage and crit scales linearly).

Damage received by the archer when she was using a:
    1) Starfall +15 chest -- 1,060
    2) Conflate +12 chest -- 1,480
    3) Slaughter +12 chest -- 1800
    4) Dreadnaught +12 chest -- 1950

Clearly starfall armor is still by far the best. I'd imagine Imperator would be even stronger.
  • That is damage with just chest on?

    Weaps: VM 7 > everything
    Gloves: Conflate > VM 7 > VM6 > everything else
Boots: VM 6 > everything else
Chest: VM 6 > everything else
  • Definitely It's a mix of gears, conflate alone just doesn't cut it.

Talking about weapons, in my case as a DPS i'll finally go with Conflate weapon. Doing the math i think Conflate weapon is pretty good. It has 6% damage and 20% PvP damage, this last one is just as precious as the 6%, no matter if you hit from the front, back or side, that 20% it's always there.

Starfall for instance, on the other hand has 6% damage, 6% PvP damage, 6.9% from behind and PvP attack by 14, that's 7.1% less damage compared with Conflate, (if you don't back crit depending on your class then bye bye 6.9%) and i don't think that PVP attack by 14 is superior to 7.1% more damage <- about this last statement please someone correct me if i'm wrong, would appreciate it.

Hmm, what about gear set bonuses? Endurance/power less useful than the gear piece stats?

Even if I get vm7, probably won't roll it for pvp. So definitely going with Conflate weapon. Also getting conflate belt because its the cheapest thing I can get for a set bonus.

The rest of my pieces I'm getting SF.

    So its either

    Conflate Gun/Belt + SF Chest/Gloves/Boots

    or

    Conflate Gun/Gloves/Belt + SF Chest/Boots
  • Conflate accessories are already super grindy.

Going for armor and weapons will barely help the case and if you wanna find a way out of the grind, then the armors and weapons will probably be 2-3x as expensive as accs due to how grindy designs are over accs.

Getting Conflate means more Flatarum and Con Nodes to get along with designs costing as much as the bellicarium credit cap.
  • You can also buy nodes with gold if you don't want to PvP for ks and bc points.
