I want this costume so bad.. i don't care how dysfunctional it is.

We have enough worse bugs, I think I talk for everyone when I say that one lifting up skirt isn't exactly what would make us stop playing

A skirt lifting up isn't bad, if they want to fix a bug, fix the damn capes and scarves that occasionally go on a rampage and fly all over the screen

wow you reminded me this... We've got the scarves suddenly going laser show, but a skirt lift (let's be honest, we all WANT that to happen), is suddenly horrible

Speak for yourself. The skirt bug is unflattering and makes the dress look like absolute garbage. Its not a hard thing to fix. Bh just doesn't want to take the time to modify it to be acceptablefor other regions.

Well, why I do agree that this bug is much worse than the scarf issue, I think the problem may not be that easy to solve. It has to do with the limitations of the physics engine they have in the game. They could just remove the physics entirely, but it'd remove one of the key features of the dress.

From what I've seen, the dress doesn't fly all over the screen of unsuspecting bystanders creating a very real and very annoying distraction(or, in my case, migraine goes from "I can live with this" to "where are my pills and why is the room so bright?"). But, sure, a skirt lifting up is worse...right...

ehh dunno if it's core based, feels more like classical BHS halfassed programming than core bug. The other long dresses don't have bugs and skirts have physics on them as well like the gothic dresses.
Disabling the physics on the dress alone could work tho, and frankly I don't see why not just do something like this and sell it for cheap later on.

Frankly I hate that laser scarf, it's like, it annoys everyone around quite far away from the scarf.

It may not be worse for you because it does not trigger your migranes. Maybe they should never had put the scarves in either, but I don't think they can take them back now.

It does fly all over the screen of unsuspecting bystanders whenever two Elins wearing the dress stand near each other (which they'd do just to expose themselves/the bug). This is not because I'm some sort of prude and am categorically opposed to Elin pantsu or something... but it's a really unsightly bug, and one they're well-aware of in advance.

In the end, this has been discussed enough times that I don't think anyone's minds will be changed. Given that EME's leaving money on the table by not selling something people want, I assume they had hard discussions about it internally as well.

(Personally speaking, I'd probably buy it anyway and just try to avoid the bug, but I suspect they don't want bugs like that to start showing up on official streams as people purposefully troll them, etc.)

All other dresses uses fixed animation there are no dynamic physics involved whatsoever that's why some emotes fixed to work only on certain dresses because they are too lazy to create animation for all other. All attempt where BHS tried to use dynamic physics are mostly have bugs scarves capes, scarves on the sailor sukumizu, sleeves on the ninja costume (don't know the name out of my head).
If they disable the physics on this certain dress it will clip trough everything even on the most basic animation like running which looks even worse. Anyway they could just scrap the dynamic physic and do a fixed animation for it don't think it would take more than a couple of hour for them especially since some animations just copy pasted throughout a lot of other dresses anyway.

The only way it'll be flying all over your screen is if you zoom in on the action. Otherwise it's a skirt going up and down, no different from somebody jumping on your screen while the scarf spins rapidly and does go -all over-. Visually, the scarf is definitely worse. Morally, well, that's a matter of personal opinion.
  • Haggard86Haggard86 ✭✭✭✭
I don't think morality is a concern here. We do have devilicious costumes for elins after all
  • The waterskilk/perennial/plumblossom can be bugged to lift up your skirt if u bug it with someone walking through u wearing a simmilar dress. So is not like we don't have this "bug" in costumes we currently have in game. Sure the skirt lift is a bit less dramatic than with Alice dresses, but is essentially the same bug. So maybe the bug is not even the real reason they won't sell this costumes in NA.

I agree with the "capes/scarves have the worst possible bug in game" opinion. I do think EME should do us a solid and sell the freaking costume once and for all. Sell it cheaper/sell it with a warning in the description/give it for free at events. Just let us have it ; A ;!!
