    Short term, it's not very feasible to buy a vm8 weapon just to be accepted into a dungeon run. I would still suggest finding a better guild that does learning runs or find someone that is willing to take a chance on letting you in and impress them with your ability to stay alive. If you were on FF, it wouldn't be a big deal, I've been doing some runs where we carry a pvper through the dungeon so they can get a belt lol.

    Ppl are elitist and worse, hypocrites af too.

    I tested something 1 month ago on TR with 3x toons:

    *Full Misery +12 Sorc, skilled on every dungeon that i applied: I got mostly rejected (maybe 60%+), i'm talking about ez stuff like vsnm.
    *Ambush +15 Warrior: Hardly got rejected at all, even on dugeons that i was rookie, just LOL!
    *Full Misery +12 Slayer: Same or worse as the sorc..

    I'll not even talk here about rallys and "+15 only" (cuz +15 is a must on a 5 Fps boss fight!!);
    Btw, my main is/was an Ambush+15 sorc on AV, i was very active on VM8 patch with 100+ rmhm clears but nobody knows who i'm on TR, i can deal the same or better dps on that misery +12 sorc than some +15 player, but even then i got rejected af..

    So, gl running VSHM on LFG with +12 gear.

    There's only two ways arround this elitism problem:
    *Just farm 300K (if you got lot of free time it's not hard, just boring af) and buy VM8 +15 weapon from TB;
    *Find some very nice and helpful non-elitist guild that can run vshm with you...

    You don't have to keep saying you ahve +12 Misery you know. It happens to everybody when they just start out and has no friends too. Gear check is a real thing, deal with it, just like irl. When people who don't know each other get together, gear is one of the two things that they can look at and guesstimate how experienced/old you are at the game. Best advice I can give is to buy yourself an Ambush weapon so that you can pass gearcheck easier, much much easier.

    At least I am glad to see someone finally admitted that gear check is real :p

    To all people asking me why I don't bother buying vm8 weap , this is the reason lol. I have all the mats except badges/talismans and design for vm9 right now. I can farm badges through vsnm np and I can just buy the design or wait till they make it available more liberally than right now. Only thing thats the problem are talismans which seem to be hard gated through vshm. I don't think its feasible to waste 300k right now on a vm8 weap when I can get vm9 weap soon. At least that is what everybody in-game advised me.

    Hey thanks for taking efforts to do research buddy! I am really glad to see people are finally coming up and exposing the elitism and hypocrisy that goes around in-game. You are indeed right about gl on running vshm with +12 part and many people in-game have told me the same so far except in different words varying from 'misery gear is [filtered] bro xD' to 'gtfo scrub dont waste our time' ;)

    To everyone else , the gear gating in this game is real. Community is elitist and hypocritical. Just admit it and don't mislead the poor OP.

    this game isnt populated enough to get something from it in non-peak times. if only u enjoy dancing alone at a mountain top in bikini. or gather materials. cant decide wat is more interesting

    That is true indeed and that is why I posted a screenshot of 1 hr+ queue of fwc as a proof. Yet, for the people on this forums game is alive and well , thriving even in non-peak times.

    The community is elitist but you have to understand that its like this for a reason. When you are doing very well and your sitting in timescape over 30 minutes or god forbid wiping on last boss it makes you want to scream. Ive only recently caught up to the current vm set (0 p2w) and i rarely accept dps who are in misery. That does not make me a hypocrit though. I worked hard to get my gear. I spent hours and hours in ims farming imp mats(this is towards the end of rmh patch but doing rmn/rmh was out of the question because MY skill wasnt there.) After getting my imp axe i was able to get into a midtier guild that taught me how to do rmn and i worked hard at becoming able to clear rmh with a decent performance until finally getting my ambush axe. I didnt even have full ambush by the time deathwrack came a long but im right back at training in vsh pushing to do better and better. Today im sitting in deathwrack wep/gloves/belt and it all came from dedication to improving and hard work through the very same system you are crying about. Keep your head up and keep trying to improve and youll be rejecting misery plebs yourself before you know it.

    Maybe you won't like this but why don't you make a LFG for a mid tier dungeon as VHNM and when someone applies tell him that you are aiming to make a static group to run dungeons?

    That could help you to get rid that feeling about elitist groups.

    LFG is essentially a cherry picking site, if they dont' want you, they just don't want you, nothing can be helped with that.

    I play with 200ms ping. That alone shows that I am in the exact situation as those high ping players (weird times to play in).

    I will say that very rarely misery dps gets accepted into VSNM/VSHM for a good reason: it is too difficult to tell if you are half decent. Misery isn't exactly difficult to get at all.

    The secret behind this game is to find a guild that accepts you into endgame dungeons. I believe it is the same for many other MMOs too. Find one that plays in your timezone and you are good to start practising.

    And contrary to what people think it isn't that difficult to start afresh, if not for the fact I can only play two days a week these days I could have gotten full VM on a few characters already.

    I am a newish player and honestly speaking, I don't think this game is worth playing for new/returning players unless : 1) you can spend rl money on EMP 2) you can play during peak timings and have some static group or such.

    Its sad but the community is way too elitist (at least on MT). Nobody accepts +12 dps for HM dungeons , heck I've seen even +12 healers getting rejected so, you can figure it out yourself how things work. Finding learning runs is also very difficult. I've been trying to make learning lfg and learn VSHM (current hardest dg) since past week and I am still a sitting duck. Today I was rejected from a TSNM lfg for being +12 and TS is a mid tier dungeon of which I have over 30 runs under my belt. I might sound rude but I am being straightforward and honest about my personal experience since last month I began playing. If you wish to play go ahead .. good luck , just keep in mind that its going to be rough.

    you know, with this attitude it's not a wonder nobody takes you to party for hm dungeons. it's a [filtered] that lie people in misery don't get into parties, especially healers. you use every chance you get to talk [filtered] about MT and then you wonder how you don't get into parties. tbh if i ever see your name applying to my party, i'll reject you with a smile on my face. and advices you gave in this comment are most [filtered] i've ever seen. it's worth to play a game even if you can't swipe. i play this game for 2.5 years and only money i ever spent was to transfer to MT. you just need few characters to farm IoD and you can easily buy elite. the other advice about playing in peak time is also a bs. i play from Europe and don't have any static group, but i manage to find parties for any dungeon.

    I can get into parties with my characters in +12 misry also just fine. Even in parties that ask for experienced people. So far never got kicked so....maybe its just MT, in that case feel free to move to a different server. I also play on EU timezone and manage to find plenty of parties.

    I don't know then maybe you are an odd man out or something. Try to do that on MT , at least during timezone which I play and I can assure you 99% of vshm lfg's will reject you.

    I actually tried doing that but with vsnm, which is how I actually managed to make learning lfg to try out vshm but things went very bad and those people are now struggling to make vshm lfg again and they don't exactly like me anymore as well I guess :p
