  • @ReaperElena sorry; i'm not sure which part you are talking about.

    but the new gears on new content seems to have Max enchant level at +9
    New Gear (weapon, chest, handwear, footwear, belt)
    Guardian Gear (Replaces Idoneal gear, max enchant up to +6)
    Altered Gem Gear (up to +9)
    Cold Metal Gear (up to +9)
    Screaming Rage Gear (up to +9, can be liberated once after +7)

    +15 is only VM9.5 or prior.

    Yes, I know about the new gears. Sorry I shoulda said old gears. The part where you wrote "Currently existing gears ( up to VM9.5 [Oblit] ) can be enchanted up to +15 without Awakening"....as I stated above, this applies all the old gears? Or just old VM gears?
  • @Idi0ticGenius which are the first 7 class that will receive class awakening?
  • Idi0ticGeniusIdi0ticGenius ✭✭✭✭✭
    @ReaperElena
    Yes it's only VM specific gears. What they mean is that old gears are able to enchant up to +9, +12, or +15 (whichever their max enchantment is). Since max value is +15, and highest gear that can reach it is VM9.5 (oblit), I wrote it that way to sum it all up.

    But to reword it, all currently existing gears will be able to enchant to their max available enchantment for that gear.
    the VM series since gen/ren ~ oblit ( VM4~VM9.5 ) will be enchantable without the need of masterworking/awakening
    other gears will be able to enchant up to +12 without need of masterworking
    but some gears that could not be masterworked, such as Initia and Emina, will only be enchantable up to +9

    @TankyHealer
    unfortunately this isn't said anywhere. It's a weird number too since I'd expect 8 for original 8 classes. If I find some more info, I'll be sure to update it on this doc, but most likely i'd spill a lot of things on discord. (it's quicker to talk to people there while I'm at work after all. internet is too slow there to load forums and reddit x_x)

    Which discord? I need to know where to stalk you. I mean...*cough*
  • Gotcha, I'd thought as much. Thanks.
  • @Idi0ticGenius
    Yes, Discord name or link to the server where you "spill things out" please

    Its the tera online discord.
    The link can be found on the Tera subreddit on the right side panel so its not something hidden, but here is the invite link:

    FYI its not an Official discord, there are rules, but you certainly can't run to EME about mistreatment as some other guys did and made forum threads about it.

    Thank you very much o/
  • I don't think people understand they're simply making the enchanting system and the way to obtain gear more simple it says it will still cost near the same do you not see the conversion rates for the tokens all of those mats cost gold you also need gold to enchant and upgrade your gear as well as all the mats idk how people are so oblivious and can just say yay they are removing awakening and enchanting , no its still here just the system is different.

    Nope, there is not.

    Now you will have better rates to enchanting success, and you can even do quest to rise your %.

    Also, the new system makes all your gear (weapon, armor, accesories and event mats) useful to get the next tier gear, something that is more convenient for those who are playing each patch, as it makes you feel that your previous jewellery was not a waste of gold or time when new is released.

    Looks promising but we will have to wait and see :)

    @Idi0ticGenius Does "evolving" old gear into the new gear (ex. converting +15 Deathwrack to +0 Screaming Rage) transfer existing etchings, crystals, and dual options?
  • KarmaTheAlligatorKarmaTheAlligator ✭✭✭✭✭

    @Eishaa "Etchings/crysatls/dual option that was on your weapon will be gone after promoting the gear."

    @Idi0ticGenius So what will the bosses drop, do you know? Tokens only? Enchant mats?
  • EishaaEishaa ✭✭
    @KarmaTheAlligator I know, I read that, but the wording on it is vague. I don't know if it's referring only to promoting lower tiers of the NEW GEAR to a higher tier (ex. Cold Metal to Screaming Rage), or both to converting old gear and promoting new gear...
