What?
'Cause that's their job
Because they own the server
What about just ban both instead of defending a troll along the way?
Trolls are comedic relief, RMT spam BOTs are an annoyance. Priorities.
because they need elin sacrifice and you are the elin we sacrifice for skywhale gm
You can't just silence an RMT bot; it's not as if they have any investment at all in their characters or account. They'll just find a way around it in an instant and be there on a different character (and now everyone who blocked the first bot will have to block the new bot as well). Dealing with RMT bots requires you to take a different approach to hopefully weed them out at the source, not just playing whack-a-mole with each new character that pops up.
Exactly. And my view on the topic is something that has been said here already, someone else proposed this not me, but I think it's a friggen genius idea: shadow block them on the server.
Let them see that they're posting the message, let the message appear on their screen like if it was normally going through, but it doesn't show up on the system at all. Don't give any hint that the character has been banned if it has been found as an RMT bot.
