Lance Rolls
Just an anomaly I thought I'd sure with people- Slaughter lances apparently can no longer roll aggro% (not that you would these days) as the roll has now been replaced by a damage from behind line consistent with dps weapons, as in the picture below:

The slaughter set is actually more rewarding for tanks and healers than for dps.
Slaughter for dps is about 7-8% better than dreadnaught for dps while its about 15% better for tanks and healers because dps are missing a backdamage roll on the weapon.
I see. My own experience on my ninja, the one thing I saw improve a lot from full DN to full Slaughter was attack power. Just adding weapon and glove gave me over 12K extra ATP. The rest just saw the expected moderate upgrades. I have not tried to gear my lancer yet, though. She's still in poor schisma.
Here's a funny one. From what I've heard, on initial builds of alpha Tera, lancers weren't tanks. They were dps. Warriors were the only tank, and they didn't have block back then. That was when BHS was seriously playing with the "Evasion tank" idea. This could be only a rumor, but still a funny 'wat' story.
that's interesting. I guess BHS went along with their original idea, according to the rumor, and decided to make a certain broken DPS tank class
Only that they replaced evasion with just more dps. Anyway, a bit more on topic. This is sparking my desire to revive my lancer and try to gear her up. I've always had fun playing the class back then.
