When will we get a name wipe?

It's been over 2 years I think since we last got a name wipe..I'm tired of inactives hogging all the names. :( When will we get another?? It feels hopeless at this point.

    not until they think it's necessary, which it isn't and name sellers would gobble up all the released names anyway. you started a thread like this back in december as well...as to hopeless? how so? there's plenty of names...use your imagination.

    To be fair I would make the name wipe an automatic thing at one year inactivity. But not entirely the same way as they had last time:
    Keep the inactive character's name intact until someone creates a new character with the same name. THEN you rename it to (Inactive Name)_1 or what was it that they did last time. Of course, this only after one year of not logging into the character.
    So nothing of mentioning the names were wiped or anything, just do it automatically, and release only WHEN someone needs it.
    Also at character deletion, give back to the 1st owner of the name, wouldn't be fair to get back after one year and a month and see your name get taken from a character that played 2 hours and deleted it after.

    Didn't Ktera do a nerf on name selling, made it when you delete a character it didn't release the name between a random 24hours up to 30days. or am i thinking of another game

    they will probably do a name wipe if or when tera does come out on consoles, so that they can have a chance at some of those special names. maybe japan will make some new anime or manga so that people can have new names to choose from lol.

    Yes, but you could still get the released name via name change vouchers. So, in effect, it didn't nerf name selling, but put a "tax" on it.
