(Solved) A rift over 'Velika Wilds'

As a Popori, I've become very curious of shiny things I find. Today, I found these silly crabs that were scattered all over villages and cities... even some being under the ground. On my quest of hoarding their drops, I spotted something extremely peculiar between Popolion and Velika.... something unusual.

I tried to go under it, but an invisible wall stopped me from proceeding. Tell me... what do you think of it, my friends?

I do not worship a whale whose reason of being is to protect the human's territories and not the poporian. To me, I desire to hunt the whale for the godly soul it possesses. I watched it's path for many years... travelling into the void of Arborea everyday and never left one ripple... Why would it travel there all of a sudden? It just doesn't make any sense.

I've checked on another PC I own and it seems to only be my newer PC... which is weird.
It was nice seeing something so abnormal there but I guess it was just a mix up in my patch... I'll just have to repair my game.
Thank you for pointing that out, CinemaShow74.

i want to see vergos' claw stick outta that rift and just gradually tear the sky open as he descends and brings chaos about all of arborea.

After a very lengthy repair... my game has gone back to normal.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Perhaps it's a sign of Manahan's return. (Still waiting for lore related to Manahan :( )

That rift is in Arx Umbra above the crown looking things on Trellum Consurgo.

Lore-wise, those are rifts created by Archdevans under the commands of Dakuryon, who were able to manipulate dimensions after he'd gained power from Bloodstone. This part of the lore can be speculated via Castle Aranea and the new upcoming contents in KTERA. If you remember a machine Randun find when you follow him, it had a blue crystal which was apparently "incomplete weapon currently in development". This was the source of Dakuryon's actual power of manipulating dimensional magic came from, -- it was the (not yet localized) crystallized ores found somewhere in northern Arun near savage reach-- this is the next up coming content in KTERA patch tomorrow.

These rifts had many uses. Aside from Dakuryon using it to poof everywhere during the story, it was also used as some of anti-tracking device. But the federation found the way to counter that by using relativity stones to make the power from the blue crystallized ores useless, which is why when you activated the green globe device in Shadow sanguinary, Dakuryon could not cowardly escape after the second boss fight, which he ends up using his experimental steroid to power up as Imperator.

In previous lore, these rifts were also the causes of how Alliance content began, as these rifts took people in alternate dimensions where nocteniums existed, and people had found their potency in terms of power.

Another part of the lore leads to The Abcess, which was about how people of Arborea began disappearing mysteriously, then later mysterious creatures began attacking people-- the Demokrons, created by Archdevans.

All these were work of Archdevans and the dimensional magic that was product of the research on the crystallized ores combined with their dark magic ( or blood magic, as NA localized).

Federation was actually fully aware of the Archdevan threat, which apparently ties with Rifts Edge, which was about defeating giant beetle (Koleogg) after fighting through Gwangis, who apparently were guarding/worshiping the beetle, retrieving a giant crystal used to fly Sky Cruiser Intrepid (the one you rode during Lv60 quest heading to Northern Arun).

That was an interesting piece of lore you've shared, I enjoyed reading it. It's quite funny how the Arx Umbra's rift ended up near Velika in my version of the game, I was really hoping for something more... like extra content. Oh well, the bug made my day.
