    Yes, but you could still get the released name via name change vouchers. So, in effect, it didn't nerf name selling, but put a "tax" on it.

    I haven't personally tried it, but I don't think so. I think it was just a publisher-specific change they made on their backend.

    I am in full support of a name wipe. All the names I'd like to use are taken by people who are level 1 - 7 who haven't logged in for over TWO YEARS. I mean at this point even if they did come back, it's safe to assume they would start fresh.

    EDIT 1: Just wanted to add this, when we do get a name wipe event, can we please get 1 free untradeable name change voucher per account? I think this is reasonable as the gold cost for a normal voucher is quite high.

    Other games do character wipe instead just name wipe. So, if you didn't login in 6 months or 1 year, regardless your character level, you'll have to start all over again as fresh newbie.

    I agree with this. I've been longing for a char name for how many months (almost 2 years) I added that char (lvl20) and now, still lvl 20.

    Personally i believe there should be no name wipes.
    Despite players keeping them to sell and other things, they were the ones who got it first together with everyone else. Wiping them is not fair towards them.

    If the name you wanted is taken, well tough luck, should have been faster getting it.

    no one has gotten around the name sellers, which the last name wipe had PLENTY of. wait a month? big deal. and for he IDIOT who thinks players shouldn't be notified how about all your characters names deleted with no notification hmm? worst idea ever. man...can't stand some of these whiny little entitled brats. it's par for the course coming into ANY established MMO or online game in general that you are NOT going to get names you wanted. the longer it's been running the less likely you're going to be able to get ANY reasonably popular name.

    get creative. use a surname which is what i started doing with mine. this game has better naming options than most instead of whinging take advantage of that because in the end, another name wipe players WILL be notified weeks in advance, there WILL be name sellers logging in on multiple accounts and you MOST likely won't get the damn name you have a hard on for anyway...and the cycle of whinging for a name wipe will start again less than a year later as it did after the last one.
