You will have 200+ ping on any server. I myself play in Ascension Valley.

quit while you can before you get hooked on it. cos ur [filtered]. now here i am stuck with min 230ms and can't quit the darn game.

Do you guys have any trouble with battling when having 200+ ping, such as trouble with dodging at the right time etc? Is it enjoyable playing with this high of a ping, or does it not affect the gameplay that much?

I am playing with 200-250 ping and I have over 25 vshm clears as well HH p2/p1 clear. Dodging with high ping is not that much of a problem , you just have to dodge like half to one sec earlier. You will get used to the dodge timings once you do the dungeon a few times.

PVP is a whole different story though. I would say don't even bother pvping with 200 ping , its just not enjoyable and you won't be able to beat a equally skilled low ping player.

pve it's not as much of a problem dodging, if you know mechs, you just get used to using your iframe earlier than you would on low ping. aoe attacks suck, you think you walked out of that 1-shot aoe in time? THINK AGAIN!
and pvp, for me it's mainly a pain bc trying to catch up to someone and hit them is a pain in the [filtered].

i have never played tera on low ping but i'd say if you like the game regardless of ping it can be pretty enjoyable, but often need to have faster reaction time and act early to survive. (mainly those darn 1-shot aoe/pizza attacks D:< )
personally i struggle with end game content bc of my ping and lack of skill however it's all doable at high ping.

    enjoy being disdvantaged!

I can still run dungeons well enough. Given that I'm an Archer playing at high ping, I have to forgo using Rapid Fire as the whole animation is very slow as compared to an Archer with <50 ping, leaving me with no choice but to use Penetrating Arrow instead, which does inferior DPS. My DPS is lower than other Archers with low ping but is still decent enough to clear dungeons smoothly. Also, with high ping, damage from red AOEs hit you nearly a second early as compared to the animations you see, so you have to dodge earlier, which is something you will get used to when you play more frequently. It's still quite enjoyable to play, even though ping does affect your gameplay negatively. I cannot comment on PvP as I hardly touch it due to my lack of skills.

I play on TW server kekekekeke, but still stalk this forum cuz english.
If you can read chinese, join me, you'll feel like a god playing there
Tbh after playing on NA servers for almost 2 years, the switch to a lower ping server feels really good. Just have to deal with the different economy tho...

The problem is not having 200-250 static ping, is even more of a problem when your ping start to rise and drop like crazy making your timings for skills a living hell.
